I don't care what people say, it is DIFFERENT!!! The guys are bragging about it to their friends the next day...what a score. The girl would be traumatized for life. Yes I am a guy and did not have this happen to me, but if my Spanish Teacher forced me to have sex with her as a Junior in High School...I can't imagine at 40 I would still be traumatized by it...I am sure I would be telling everyone I know about it. She of course is gorgeous!!!!
Okay, so we’re going to have one set of standards for men and one for women? Why is sex “injurious” and “traumatizing” to a female and “liberating” for a male? Will we have different standards for rape then? Don’t get me wrong, I get your reasoning - the boy will be bragging the day after, the girl will be crying. I don’t think the law can afford to call a difference on this though, not if it’s going to serve an impartial justice.
In some ways I agree with you, but it is the jury that makes the decision and if you have 1/2 men on the jury or more than it is going to be very hard to convince the jury that she needs to spend the rest of her life in jail. Maybe if the boy gives a really moving speech about how his life is ruined and then the men on the jury will probably just think he is gay...lol. (sorta kidding)
Yup. And isn’t it a sad commentary on the human condition that the reactions are like that. Mothers are always bears when it comes to their children. More Fathers need to be the same way. It saddens me that some think that ‘nailing it’ is the most important thing for a teenager to do ( or an adult for that matter). It cheapens what should be part of an intimate and adult relationship
So go ahead and teach your sons that men can’t be raped. Go ahead and teach them that nailing it is the highest form of adventure for a teen aged boy. Go ahead and blame anyone and everyone.
I read your comments and understood them for the clap trap they are. Fact is that animalistic behaviour is just that. Teaching our children about how to be loving caring responsible adults is what parents should be doing. Do all manage to do that? NO. Then again adults seem to think that whatever they do is fine and they have NO obligations to behave as adults ( she wanted it, she looked like a slut, it is all her fault). Put them all in burghas and then perhaps you will be happy
That’s part of the problem. It really isn’t a light hearted issue. Child abuse should be a concern for everyone. The ‘double standard’ exists because it is treated as a light hearted situation
I’m a woman and I totally agree with you. Wrong as it was, the punishment does not fit the crime.
My sons will learn to respect women, and to abstain from sex until marriage.
I read your comments and understood them
No, you have once again proven you did nothing of the kind. I give up.
Oh I understood you comments
“The poor boys must have been traumatized!” Your words at post 27. Nice way to teach your sons how to respect women
Not the kind of respect that I have taught my children fortunately.
Obviously, the heavy sarcasm of the not guilty pics was lost on you.
Sorry but men on here saying things like “I’d do her” and “that’s any teenage boys dream” and “women can’t rape a boy”; those things are not sarcasm. Do you think it would be funny if I said that about a girl even in jest? “Oh yeah that 14 year old girl she was just asking for it.”, “He’s a hot 30 year old guy, what 15 year old girl wouldn’t want a piece of that”. Doesn’t sound so funny now does it? You are trying to justify the injustifiable.
