Starts at 17:33 and ends at 19:35 with JD speaking about Sheriff Joe's appearance with Ricky Sanchez.

Is this "normal" behavior for DOJ officials? Wonder what role Janet played in this?

If I can find a "journalist" report on this, I will add to the post.

This is getting to be a police state under Holder. Posing as reporters? I wonder if we will see any response from the MSM on this. These are the same kind of tactics that were used in Communist countries. I know. I lived in Communist Poland for two years. This is outrageous.

Only heard on KFYI, couldn’t find it anywhere else.

If anyone desires to listen, the podcast is at the link, and you can go to the 17:35 mark.

No.

Indeed... if it was Reno we could count on her killing a bunch of “wackos” (including women and children) and then going away (to DC). [/cynic]

Don't forget Napolitano is in this too. They are making a mockery of our existing immigration laws.

Posing as reporters?

Fox News needs to get on this story. They are attempting to derail Sheriff Joe and apparently will stop at nothing to do it.

The REFUSAL to show any form of ID, and especially their OFFICIAL ID is outrageous.

Wonder if they asked any questions? I can’t seem to find this presser.

Well .. I’ll tell you what .. just let them keep up this kind of activity, and more and more Americans are really going to get fed up .. even more fed up than they already are.

This is clearly a sign of things to come. The dems hate this Sheriff because he’s upholding the law and they cannot abide that against their precious possible voters; you know those illegals they want to give free housing, free healthcare, free everything .. just to convince them to vote for the idiot dems.

I do believe all this over-reaching is going to backfire BIG TIME!!!! Stupid dems .. they do it everytime.

Uh, no it isn't. Unfortunately, I can't tell you what this is, but it should be obvious.

CNN’s Sanchez likens Arpaio to Bull Connor

Sanchez prefaced his interview with the Arizona sheriff:

Well, perhaps not since Bull Connor whose aggressive police tactics against blacks in the South sparked civil rights legislation in 1964 has our country seen a showdown like the one going on right now between Maricopa County sheriff Joe Arpaio and Washington, as in the feds.

And during his interview:

SANCHEZ: Like Bull Connor in 1960s, you’re going to sit there and tell the feds, you don’t care what they say, you’re going to do it your way and you’re going to do it when you want to do it?

ARPAIO: No, they don’t tell me how to do my job enforcing state laws. I worked 25 years as a top Justice Department drug enforcement official. I think I know the federal law and how to operate under the federal blanket. So...

SANCHEZ: All right. Well, for the record, they’re saying you don’t and they’re saying you’re violating it.

ARPAIO: Then come on after me, if he thinks I’m violating any of the federal laws.

Mexico to Aid Migrants (ILLEGALS) Arrested by Controversial Arizona Sheriff

MEXICO CITY – The Mexican government is aiding 13 undocumented Mexicans (ILLEGALS) nabbed by an Arizona sheriff’s department that does not have the authority to enforce immigration laws, the foreign ministry said.

The ministry noted in a statement that last week’s arrests in and around Phoenix took place after the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Department lost the immigration-enforcement jurisdiction it had under a 287(g) accord with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

That accord “empowered sheriff’s deputies to exercise functions of immigration control,” but was not in effect when the incidents occurred that led to the arrests of a Mexican minor and 12 adults, all of them undocumented.

Maricopa’s headline-chasing sheriff, Joe Arpaio, claims the “crime suppression” operation launched last Friday did not involve racial profiling.

But the self-proclaimed “toughest sheriff in the West” has been investigated by the U.S. Justice Department for allegedly discriminatory conduct.

The “crime suppression” operation took place northwest of Phoenix in the town of Surprise, where personnel from the Mexican Consulate went to the immigrants’ aid, the foreign ministry said.

“All of them were interviewed to determine their emotional condition and the state of their health. At the same time, contact was made with family members to explain the legal situation of each one of the detainees,” the communique said.

It also rejected “actions tending to categorize as criminals Mexican migrants for the mere fact of being that.”

Mexico’s foreign ministry vowed to continue offering “consular aid and deploying all its people, legal resources and protection corresponding to the laws of that country as well as international law to defend the Mexicans’ rights
