>>I’d like to see Rush take them (anyone) for millions, and then give that money to Sarah Palin.<<

Haha, I love it! Poetic justice.

“But Britain is a leftist country, where they are not used to the hard-edged conservatism associated with American talk radio. Even the Tories in Britain would be uncofortable with American talk radio culture.”

Brits are the great talkers.Watch the House of Commons on Cspan.

Wit and sarcasm, too. And the rule of law.

Where do you think our Founding Fathers got their ideas? Kenya?

"Should Rush sue the bastards? Does he have a chance of winning a libel suit, even if his opponents dump a ton of dirt on him during the trial?"

Are you kidding?

You KNOW what the Jury composition will be, don't you?

And you KNOW what a propoganda campaign the State-Run-Media will continue on him, right?

I think he has no chance of suing for libel. It’s a very high standard, even higher for ‘public figures’ which he certainly is.

I would suggest he sue the NY Law Firm employees who created the fake quotes and loaded them into WikiQuotes and WikiPedia.

This is the source of the worst of the libel. I think this is a MUCH stronger case, and will do more for the movement. It is the anonymous libtard liars creating fake facts in safety that is one of our worst problems.

Sounded this am like they had traced the Wiki posts to their source — some law firm in NYC that is representing the NFL players, I think. I like it.

Patterson, Bellnap, Webb & Tyler, big NYC firm. Members include or included Rudy Giuliani, former NYC prosecutor Morgtnthau and Ed Cox, husband of Tricia Nixon. They recently (9/21/09) started a sports industry group within the firm headed by former NJ AG.

The Wiki ‘quotes’ attributed to Rush were entered by someone using that firm’s ip address. It is in the firm’s interest to investigate and find out just who did it.

Yes he should. He should figure out what being a partial owner for 25 years would’ve earned him double it and make them all pay dearly. I’m not a big avocate of sueing but the way they viciously went after him with lies they all deserve being hurt badly finanically!

“He must sue the source of the material published in Wiki.”

Are you sure about that? I think the media is responsible for ensuring the stuff they say, and I’ve yet to see Wiki used or promoted as a credible source. I think if CNN made the case that they use Wiki as a common source they might have an argument (even though I still think it wouldn’t work), but with Wiki’s well known horrible reputation for credibility it would be pretty easy to demonstrate that CNN and others took the opportunity to make the statements with the intent of damaging Rush, and ignored their obligation to source their statements because they had a desire to promote those statements as true.

Of course Rush should sue.The Question is would his being a celebrity make it difficult for him to collect anything.Other than that I’d like to see him put CNN,MSNBC and all of the other Lying liberal networks out of business.

Rush should employ RICO laws which govern “conspiracies by organized individuals” to thwart interstate commerce.

Anyone “conspiring with NFL insiders” to thwart Rush’s ability to earn money from his investment is liable.

It’s almost impossible for a public figure to win in such a suit. While it sounds nice, and would be somewhat cathartic for him to sue, it would be a waste of his time and money.

He's aired names. I'm pretty sure he knows a few really good lawyers.

He may score much more loot by going after the perps than investing in the NFL. I can only hope.

“Even if Rush can show that the intitial quotes in the media amount to libel, they are capable of digging up so much dirt on Rush, that Rush will appear as a man without any reputation worth defending, even if he was genuinely libelled.”

In a court of law it would be statements germaine to the case that would be allowed to be presented, not what the MSM could dig up to publish. Plus judges can issue gag orders while the case ongoing!
