She doesn’t think does she?
My son, who is a current Aggie, said people were selected for entrance to Rudder Auditorium. He is out protesting.

That's why I qualified my remark with "Presumably". :)
It stands to reason that anyone who speaks this way about the jOker typically thinks it's hunky-dory to shout-down Mr. Bush or Mr. Cheney.
Dissent is still patriotic after 1/21/09, isn't it?
Thanks for all the updates. Nice to hear what’s going on down there.
He didn’t stay long, and give a whooping long speecifying speech did he...guess his audience didn’t seem too receptive to his commie kids camps idea! ROFL!
This is Texas, not some inner city ghetto...he has no freaking idea who or what we are OR what we will tolerate from him.
I will have to admit that it is very exciting when a President comes to your campus. I was attending Southwest Texas State when Lydon Johnson was President and that was his alma mater. I can’t tell you how many times the secret service came running thru our dorm because the President had decided to come to campus on his way to the Ranch. The helicopter would land and he would just get out and shake handes with students and talk about just about anything. The press bus would arrive and there was Helen Thomas surprisingly looking a lot like she does now!! Anyway, I was young and enjoyed it.
I forgot to add that I was from a Yellow Dog Democrat family so I hadn’t really started forming many opinions of my own!!
Yes
Obviously you don’t get it....She wasn’t there for political reasons only to say welcome and thank you for honoring our school.
I respectfully disagree. If what you state is true, then why did she ask, "...why can we not honor and respect him in the same way?"? Does the presence of people opposing the jOker make her uncomfortable?
It seems to me that that sentence reflects her distaste & disapproval for people who publicly disagree. It seems to me that that sentence reflects a one-sided view of the First Amendment. It seems to me that that sentence reflects effective brainwashing of an idealistic young woman by her radical leftist professors that protests & violence only apply towards conservative points of view.
Any properly-educated young woman would have instead stated something along the lines of "I don't agree with the protesters here, but they're within their rights to speak."
