THE OLDEST CON in the world is the “good cop-bad cop”;

That summarizes the oligarchy in DC. Tom Davis would rather an Obama...who will do all he can to accrue power and riches to DC...than a Palin who will do the opposite.

I meant lame more in the personality/charisma able to excite people sense than the political or policy sense.

I mean, did anyone last year really want John McCain to be President? Were they at all excited by him? No. Same with Kerry, Gore, Dukakais, Dole, Mondale, etc...

Say what you will about Obama but a whole heck of a lot of people wanted him to be President. A whole leck of a lot people donated a whole lot of money to make it happen. 10s of thousands of people showed up at rallies throughout the country. McCain couldn’t get more than a few hundred.
Obama also has charisma and a personality. He’s nowhere near the pieces of cardboard that Gore and Kerry were. Bush was very lucky to be able to run against 2 of the most boring guys on the planet.

Same with Clinton. Say what you will but he wasn’t boring. He had a personality. People could relate to him. Could anyone relate to Kerry, Gore, Dole, etc?

it’s fair to say that the Libturds effectively outflanked her in AK, abusing all sorts of laws as well as civility and common sense. The state of AK definitely was hamstrung by the circus, and SP truly was tied up in knots. So she resigned.
Is it political suicide? I don’t see it that way. She has been involved effectively in national debates. If she can be a force in Congressional races, she will get the nomination.
And Obama is an EMPTY SUIT devoid a common sense and a proto-fascist, taxes will be much higher and unemplyment will be too high, the American public will have 2 choices: SP or BO. I don’t think they will vote for the proto-fascist on the grounds SP resigned. Just like they voted for BO despite the fact he was a true Zero.
