“If you try to fail and succeed, what have you done?”
This is what Obama has done now....tried to fail (America) and succeeded in that. Doesn’t seem so smart now I bet.

Winning an Olympic bid takes more than a pretty face. It’s very difficult to be competitive against other strong candidates.
A city has to demonstrate that it can construct the facilities and put on a successful event. My guess is the Chicago reps didn’t convince the voters that they had the stuff.
Too bad. It would have been a wonderful opportunity to raze a few square miles of the South Side for some new venues.
