I had high hopes for this discussion.

Discussion?! A discussion is a two-way street. Everything doesn’t flow only in one direction. It’s clear you expect everything to flow to you.

. . . a disturbing exposition of an inner bigotry . . .

If you can’t browbeat ‘em, call ‘em a bigot. That’ll really shake ‘em up. (Do you not understand that every propensity you demonstrate is easily recognized as a common Liberal tactic. And then you whine about being slandered as a Liberal. Troll, actually. Troll is as Troll does. Or Liberal.)

Equals? Hardly.

Until you acknowledge it, this conversation goes nowhere.

Choose.

Like your diversion into No True Scotsman territory to get away from the violence done by Christianity? On one side you have the PC crowd who says Christianity did all bad, on the other side you can’t admit any bad done. Both sides are wrong.

You're been educated about this...if you insist on continuing to smear Christianity, you need to at least reference some supporting NEW Testament scripture to support your attacks.

If you continue to just keep your hands over your ears and mumble liberal nonsense, you'll go down the drain you've been circling.

And you’ve been educated about this... You can’t just ditch the OT when it becomes inconvenient, yet insist it applies at other times.

You’ve also been educated about the No True Scotsman fallacy. You may have been called a heretic, not a true Christian, had you lived in the days of the Crusades for your non-conforming Christian beliefs. Yet you think you are right and all of them were wrong. What hubris.

That’s just it, no one has ditched the OT. You’re merely demanding to apply it where it can not be applied when it comes to the issue of violence.

There simply was no violent Christian behaviour in the Old Testament for you to bash because there were no Christians during OT times.

Thus...trans-formmmmm-aaaa-tive.

And no one has argued Christians are therefore perfect or don’t do wrong, or even do things wrong in the name of Christianity, but’s it’s crystal clear what Christ taught about violence in the New Testament.

Therefore, CLEARLY you erred when you said “violence done by Christianity”...and ran with your lazy liberal scholarship.

Your helpless liberalism was shamelessly paraded about and failed, just get over it and move on already. Projections and so forth won’t rescue you.

But the same God. Should you forget about the Ten Commandments too because they were given to Jews, not Christians?

but’s it’s crystal clear what Christ taught about violence in the New Testament.

There's a lot of "God's wrath" on unbelievers in there. All it takes is for someone to think he's the instrument of God.

Therefore, CLEARLY you erred when you said “violence done by Christianity”...

Let's see, Christians did it in the name of Christianity according to the prevailing interpretation of the Bible at the time. Yep, "done by Christianity" applies.

You really need to abandon your failed No True Scotsman tactic. It is called a logical fallacy for a reason.

I’ve already said the same God.

(If anyone needs to abandon anything, it’s you with your strawmen.)

But apparently you continue to ignore “trans-form-ative”.

Until you can come up with some scripture from Jesus directing to do violence, you’re just a liberal parrot that needs attention, probably nothing more than just needing your cage cleaned out.

God directed the violence. Jesus is God, right? Jesus also said he came to fulfill, not destroy. But I don’t need to come up with scripture. That’s just your strawman.

I understand the difference between a Christian committing violence not necessarily sanctioned by the Bible and churches and religious figures ordering and sanctioning violence under the authority and in furtherance of their religion. You have no authority to say that the latter were in error. Had you lived in that day you, the heretic, would be considered in error.

“But I don’t need to come up with scripture”.

Riiiiight, kind of like you liberals didn’t need to come up with the quotes attributed to Rush Limbaugh when he was smeared for being a racist?

Ohhhhh K.

Your defeat is acknowledged and recorded, anti-reason.

Riiiiight

Yes, right. The historical facts back up my claim perfectly.

Besides, it was obvious you lost when you resorted to the No True Scotsman and ad hominem logical fallacies. My earlier claim that it's usually the Christian who begins the personal attacks is yet again confirmed.

You’re confusing historical facts with lazy liberal scholarship.

But you just keep on running with it.

And ignoring you can’t find any NT scripture.

And it’s not a personal attack to expose liberalism on FR.

No, I started my claim stating history about the Crusades, and historical fact backs it up. No more, no less. You came up with all this other garbage.

And it’s not a personal attack to expose liberalism on FR.

Because someone disagrees with you on a tenet of religion does not make him liberal. Yep, personal attack, common with Christians here.

No, you were exposed for calling lazy liberal scholarship historical fact.

You’re not just disagreeable, you have an obvious liberal agenda, that normal Christian FReepers have also acknowledged.

And your last comment just further exposes your obvious agenda.

Smearing Christianity with lazy liberal scholarship isn’t going to be tolerated, not on FR anyway.

You might as well just get used to it.

Or just keep on demanding to marginalize yourself. Your call.

"Yep, personal attack, common with Christians here."

Not Christians in general, just the cult here at FR of which your current bete noire is a charter member.

Smearing Christianity with lazy liberal scholarship... $5.

Projections about “attacks”... $10.

Having the bucket-o-poo coming to your defense, with his BIZARRE definition of Christianity and stalking Christians as cultists because they accept Biblical Scripture as Truth...

Abso-LUTE-ly...PRICELESS!

LOL!

two thumbs up bop!

Apparently your game is NOT up!
