I won’t waste my time on such nonsense as BW has to offer.

"Jesus Christ has already made the call..."

Yep--and Catholics, Episcopalians, Baptists, Lutherans, etc., have answered. They are therefore Christian, en bloc.

I also don't believe Christians who say the Crusaders never did any wrong.

There's Christians who say that the Crusaders never did anything wrong?

Who's that? Could you provide some sources for that claim?

Christianity by large is now past the barbarism to promote the religion.

Then you're mistaken about your history if you really think that historical Christianity typically engaged in barbarism to promote religion. There are many Christian groups in many countries across the globe which you never hear about much simply because of the fact that they DIDN'T use barbarism to promote religion.

You can't conflate the actions of certain denominations with Christianity as a whole.

I don't believe them.” (Moslem apologists)

Me neither.

I also don't believe Christians who say the Crusaders never did any wrong.

I don’t know any Christians who say that. I know a lot of Christians who protest Twenty First Century Christian standards applied to Twelfth Century Christian behavior. It’s ahistorical.

You're the one who started with the "brown" thing

Why so I did, as I recall. I don’t believe we can discuss religious violence in the Holy Land without discussing the violence done to all the little brown people who are Christians.

. . . I think men did all that and used "God said it's okay" to justify their actions. It's common.

Yes, it is common. And now we have a (relatively) new rationale. “There is no god. I can do anything I want.”

People are not Christian by church membership. That is not what saves one.

A Christian is a follower of Christ, not a denomination.

The follower of a denomination, be they Catholic, Episcopalian, Baptists, Lutherans, etc., are merely Catholics, Episcopalians, Baptists, Lutherans, etc.,

Scripture is clear that it's an individual choice of accepting Christ.

Romans 10:9-13 9because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. 11For the Scripture says, "Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame." 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. 13For "everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

God doesn't simply bestow salvation on people because of their church membership. Salvation is not en bloc.

The question I've asked before remains, if someone is a hitman, a drug dealer, a prostitute, a swindler, whatever illegal activity you want to choose, and a member in good standing in his church, following all the religious obligations and doctrine that the church teaches, is that person a Christian?

Simply another lie perpetrated about Christians in the continuing attempt to make them look bad.

It just boggles the mind the lies people will spout as fact that have no basis.

Catholics are Christian, because they are Catholic. Ditto for the other denominations.

“The question I’ve asked before remains, if someone is a hitman, a drug dealer, a prostitute, a swindler, whatever illegal activity you want to choose, and a member in good standing in his church, following all the religious obligations and doctrine that the church teaches, is that person a Christian?”

You, too, succumb to the “No True Scotsman” fallacy! All denominations have ways to deal with sin. Are there no Christians in hell?

Are there no Christians in hell?

Pretty much speaks for itself.

Again.

Have you experienced such profound mis-understanding of Christianity before?

I have, but always from people that hate Christianity to the point they would never ever imagine themselves as Christians or fighting it from "within" i.e. "I say that as a true Christian".

So this is new to me.

But then so are alot of things.

I know it's foretold but...sometimes life moves a little too fast just the same.

I thank God that your cultish microcosm of pseudo-Christians is but a small, albeit annoying, clique. Christianity is not an attribute that’s turned on when you’re good and off when you’re bad.

But you amuse me, so keep it up.

I say that as a real Christian.

Among Christians I do. You don’t get to make the call, King Ludd.

I retract my previous assertions about 2%, bop is in a class all by himself.

Are there no Christians in hell?

No, there will be no Christians in hell.

There will be people who called themselves Christians there, but the faith in Christ that makes one a Christian is what keeps one out of hell.

“There will be people who called themselves Christians there, but the faith in Christ that makes one a Christian is what keeps one out of hell. “

It must be nice to have the Christian “Clapper”—
Clap once—you’re a Christian!
Clap twice—not any more!

“No, there will be no Christians in hell.”

How sad it must be to have such a weak faith, and yet be so fearful of hell that you have to fabricate a version of Christianity that ensures your deliverance merely by definition.

That's not even close to a defense for excluding the OT.

Ummm first of all, I'm not on the defensive here...this is FR.

Secondly, I'm not "excluding" anything, I'm merely teaching you of the transformative power of Christ. If you demand to be unteachable, that's a different subject entirely.

But even with this little sidebar you are committing the No True Scotsman fallacy.

This reminds me alot of you liberals and your nonsense of "not envoking Godwin's law" when dealing with someone like So-damn Insane or the Iranian nutjob...

or yelling at people that's racist anytime one dares criticize the zerrhoid.

It's an ineffectual canard, and just more transparent liberalism on parade.

Third of all, I'm not "committing" anything...if anything, I'm just exposing you for the liberal fraud you are...because you keep making several liberal mistakes, one right after another...

your liberal evolution parrot-squaking and reverse "earned bias" comments speak for themselves over a long period

now into play is your lazy liberal scholarship and your 'argumentum ad nauseum fallacy' concerning Christianity and the crusades

along with willful misrepresentations and MULTIPLE, MULTIPLE strawmen as detailed by YHAOS

and now the debunked too many times to count "no true scotsman" liberalism when attacking Christianity...?

your game is up to!

I have never encountered anyone as clueless as you about what Christianity is really all about and as totally ignorant of Scripture, as yourself.

Congratulations. You can now say that you’ve taken first place in something in your life.
