Maybe we should look to our community's example with fire protection with regard to schooling. That's not a half bad idea at that..........
Community enthusiasm and involvement is also very high in this area for our volunteer fire services.

Also, our entire county has 3 policemen. That's all. They give speeding tickets, deliver court notices, and are on stand-by during the occasional auction for failure to pay taxes.
The reason we don't need more than 3 policemen is that nearly every household in this county is armed. Our citizens are self-protecting their families. Could this be compared to homeschooling families who self-educate their children? Yes, I think so.
