Taxpayers’ cost for treating illegal aliens amounted to nearly $11 billion last year. That amount would pay for a double-layer fence along the entire Mexican border, with a nice chunk left over. Amount spent on the 650 miles of fence built so far: about $1 billion.

That more than NJ. I see us as following in California’s footsteps. Then NJ population estimate for 2008 was 8.7 million vs California’s 36.8 million.

Since 1992, 25 hospitals have closed, 6 have filed for bankruptcy, and 12 have transitioned from being acute care hospitals to providing other types of service.
