This is absolutely perjury by CAIR. No question.

But then, perjury is a relatively minor offense for a terrorist front group.

This needs to be dragged out in the courts until she turns 18. At that time, the case should become moot because she is an adult and can make her own decisions as to where she lives, what religion she follows, and what she wears.

The court is probably afraid of the precedent that allowing her to stay in Florida will set for other young Muslim women (but also some young men as well). Many might be willing to convert to escape the suffocating strictures of Islam. Let her stay, and hundreds, maybe thousands may follow.

If she returns to Ohio and her characterization of her father’s threats are true, she will probably be “disappeared.” (Either killed outright or sent to a Muslim country where she will be forced into an arranged marriage or killed as an apostate). The testimony of any Muslim in this matter must be viewed very skeptically as they have no moral inhibition about lying to infidels (even under oath) if they can gain an advantage by doing so.

From the article:

Florida governor Ted Strickland has issued a statement, saying that the teenage girl should be sent back to Ohio and the Muslim community.

That should be Ohio governor Ted Strickland. The Florida governor says "don't send her back".

This needs to be dragged out in the courts until she turns 18.

I believe the hearing set for Sept. 29th is a pre-trial hearing. I assume a trial date will be set at that time, and it could easily be set some number of weeks or even a couple of months away. She is 17 years old now, and I'm not sure when she reaches age 18, but it seems very unlikely that the muslims could succeed in getting her shoved back to her parents before she is 18. Of course, they may track her down at some later date if they are determined to make her an example, but at least she would have a better chance of defending herself and surviving if she is not sent back to Ohio.
