In 1997 she was referenced in another song by Travis:

I met a girl in Paris
She talked like Vera Lynn
And her eyes were full of dew drop
The moment I walked in

Good for you.

Lots of talent in pop music goes leftwing. The drug use an adultery is not supported by the right.

Patty Andrews, the lead singer of the Andrews Sisters, is still alive as well.

DR STRANGELOVE OR HOW I LEARNED TO STOP WORRYING AND LOVE THE BOMB” which is probably the funniest most hysterical darkest comedy in American cinematic history.

I agree with the exception that it was filmed in London.

I know it was a British production so I should have left out the word American. The movie just seemed to be so American.

When I grow to old to dream

Great flight video of old planes accompanies this song.

As the atomic bombs were going off, the music being played was ''I'll be seeing you again/In all those old familiar places...''

Sorry, mate, wrong tune.

Yep. I love that tune. I used it in a video I made when my mom passed away a few years back. It was perfect.

I believe it was the unofficial tune of the Eighth Air Force in WWII...

Sorry friend, you are wrong. It was indeed Vera Lynn’s “We’ll meet again”. “I’ll be seeing you” was the end title song of the Burt Reynolds-Raquel Welch film FUZZ.

Oh, lord...... I’m sitting here blubbering after watching that. The view of the White Cliffs of Dover at the 35 second mark did me in.

Vera Lynn singing “When the Lights Come On Again” still shakes me to the core.

It’s just beautiful. Perfect. The perfect song for the time.

Yep. I used to be a huge fan of Pink Floyd, loved their music.

Back in 2004, he did a concert at Great Woods in Massachusetts, and I went with 10 other people to see it. It was the summer before the election.

I was so frickking angry, sitting through that WHICH I PAID GOOD MONEY FOR...I was STEAMING. I sat on my hands and kept it to myself, because I didn’t want to ruin it for the people I went with, but after that, I just don’t listen to the music anymore.

It was completely and totally political, and they had a huge helium filled pig with “F*ck Bush” on one side and “Vote Democratic” on the other side that they released into the air during the show.

I am still madder than hell even thinking about it. He can rot for all I care.
