I don’t know. Sounds awfully...I don’t know...liberating and self reliant. How bout unicycles with a rubber bulb horn instead?
What, you think the Leftwingtards want you to dress up like clowns? They don’t allow that. Only their leider is allowed to do that ~ currently he makes himself up to look like The Joker ~
Referring to asphalt as black top might also be construed as racist. }sarc
I have felt discriminated, because that Gulfstream 550 that I always wanted is too expensive.
Apparently you didn’t hear the Prince’s comment in England that everyone should get rid of all motorized vehicles and just walk (everyone that is but him).
Is there anything that isn’t racist these days?
Even the backdrop of my post is racist. Can’t we all just get along and change the backdrop to a friendly black hue?
“Even the backdrop of my post is racist. Cant we all just get along and change the backdrop to a friendly black hue?”
That would be racist. White text on top of a black background?
The story mentions Spotsylvania and Stafford counties, but doesn’t mention Prince William County, which of course is notorious for enforcing Unites States immigration laws against illegal aliens.
As opposed to Arlington County which is a “sanctuary county” in spirit if not in actual law.
For those who are unaware of it, Arlington County VA is right up there with Berzerkeley CA and The People’s Republic of Cambridge MA.
It is without question the worst and most leftist county in all of Virginia, and directly adjacent to (actually a suburb of) Northwest DC.
It is also right up there, People’s Republic-wise, with my lovely Alexandria next door. Arlington’s County Council, er, Supreme Soviet, has the open-borders, sanctuary-loving Walter Tejada, a former illegal immigrant and certified socialist, running the show. Oh, and don’t forget Boulder.
LOL. I just bought one of those — only longer. Why? BECAUSE I CAN. I call it my in-your-face-Obama car.
Alexandria is generally a leftie yuppie enclave with the kind of NIMBY hypocrisy that - in a very recent example - wants Gitmo closed, but is terrified and greatly alarmed that the the “detainees” might actually be tried in the local Alexandria Federal courthouse. (Can’t say that I blame them, although I’d prefer to have the Gitmo illegal combatants and terrorists tried and executed post haste on Gitmo.)
So while Alexandria is definitely a selfish leftie yuppie suburb, the Arlington County Council most certainly aspires to be a Socialist People’s Committee literally on the banks of Washington DC.
I’m pretty sure they once took a vote on “sanctuary county” for illegals, I don’t recall how it panned out.
Yes. I am living in the middle of an upscale Leftie yuppie enclave, Russell Road Chapter. But I agree with them about the NIMBY part. I want those people kept in Gitmo too. I refer to Alexandria as a People’s Republic because of its tax policies, I just got the sticker bill for my car, and the kind of “urban planning” that has led to the chaotic “chic urban neighborhood” they have allowed to metastasize around the new federal courthouse.
[I]t is not the role of state or local governments to assume federal responsibilities to enforce complex immigration laws any more than it is a local government responsibility to enforce federal tax laws, patent laws, interstate commerce regulations, international trade rules, or a host of other federal rules and regulations that can lead to civil or criminal sanctions
[T]here is a political effort to pressure local governments to enact punitive measures that would be counterproductive to the fulfillment of the fundamental missions of local government
[T]his effort has been attended by increasingly irresponsible rhetoric that implies a lack of respect for all immigrants and engenders an atmosphere of divisiveness and mistrust that is especially harmful for a diverse community like Arlington
[C]reating a culture of fear and distrust of law enforcement makes a community less safe
Be it resolved that Arlington Countys approach fulfills the fundamental mission of local government, providing for the safety, health, and welfare of our community, and rejecting policies and practices that promote discrimination, exploitation, and fear of government
>>>> But I agree with them about the NIMBY part. <<<<
Oh, me too.
I didn’t want the Uighurs running around in Fairfax County either.
