Fake fight. There is room for both Rush and Beck.
Mark McKinnon, Nicole Wallace and Steve Schmidt - the three people who ran the McCain campaign are ALL trying to bury conservatism.
They should be ran out of DC permanently.
There is a certain nod from Limbaugh to Beck, in that Rush has appeared with Glenn, and vice versa.
While Limbaugh is friendly with Levin and probably Hannity, and one of his best friends, if not the best, is Tom Sullivan, this is the first time I can remember that Rush has come this close to collaborating with another talk show host. Rush’s position has always been to stay above any fray and all talk hosts, and never, ever join in any effort.
Rush has always stood alone and on top.
But times change. I’m a big Rush fan. My grandson, a college junior, is a big Beck fan.
I see it that way too. Now is a time for action, not talk. Rush has good insight into the Liberal mind, but it stops there. Beck is showing insight and is acting on it. How long it will last, I don’t know, but if the Pubbies are sitting on their hands, people will rally around an Activator, and that is Beck.
As long as they stay out of the same time slot they compliment each other.
dead on! for cryin’ out loud this is so goddamn stupid. the left is so far out of touch with anything now, (and has been for years!) that this is the best they can do. good God.
I heard Keith Olbermann bitch slapped Chris Matthews
This is a border collie:
Limbaugh is our philosopher.
Beck is our warrior.
Limbaugh writes the talking points. Beck leaps headlong into the mosh pit.
Division of labor. God bless’em both. And may God continue to protect them both in the coming days.
I enjoy Rush, most every day, for a full 3 hours....I cannot listen to Beck everyday for 3 hours.....he’s just too much.
Rush is the master of this game, and is a gentleman when it comes to sharing the turf with anyone who does justice to the cause of conservatism.
Just remember that Rush in the beginning did, not three, but four hours, between his local show in NYC and the national show, then a TV show, and all the while doing his “Rush to Excellence” tours.
That’s just a little of what it takes.
Rush fear Beck? Does Tom Brady fear Randy Moss?
Rush is Rush and Glenn is Glenn. Next question.
You know, you really shouldn’t promote this sort of thing, comparing and promoting animosity between conservatives. This is a spiritual battle too, and the dark side would love to split up conservatives in petty fights. Each talk show host has their specialty and their time. This period in American history has been set up by many people not the first of which was Rush, before him was Roy Masters and his family who actually was the first talk show host. Rush met a need and started bringing us out of the woodwork and listening and thinking critically. We love Rush, there is no one like him. Then came others and now it’s Glenn’s turn. He is not the most professorial of the talk show host! LOL! But he has the ability to show us that its up to us, and we’re not crazy even if we’re addicted to m & m’s, or cookie dough! Even if it doesn’t come out perfect it’s up to us and we MUST do it, no one else will. We must do it and it’s actually fun! And it’s effective! Jones is toast, Acorn is toast hopefully we can go all the way to a pure Republic like our founding fathers envisioned!
Stop it now.
As long as both are hugely effective, what else matters?
Excellent!!! You nailed it.
“The second is Rush Limbaugh.”
Road apples. Limbaugh is smarter, deeper, and more perceptive than Glenn, and is right about ten percentage points more of the time. And he knows it.
That said, fire away, Glenn. Good work.
