I’ve never seen Dirty Dancing all the way through but for males the Swayze films are a rundown - embarrassing in some cases - of what was popular and ‘landmark’ at the time.
Red Dawn, The Outsiders, Road House, Point Break.
Swayze could chew scenery with the best of them but he always had a glint in his eye and a ready smirk that let us know he wasn’t taking it too seriously either.

Sad. Many fond memories from my adolescence.
Prayers for his wife and family.

He fought this disease with a vengeance..the Enquirer had a picture on its cover this week and you knew he wasn’t long for this world. I will pop in my copy of ROADHOUSE tonight and say a prayer. Seemed like a good guy.

So the Enquirer was right, just a year or so early.

There’s few actors or actresses I can say I really like both on and off stage. He is one I will miss.

“Point Break” was my fave, followed by “Ghost” and the oh-so cheesy “Roadhouse”, which I just can’t stay away from when it’s on. Swayze was fun to watch. RIP.
