LOL!
Savage said ALL his callers would get a free book, there was no requirement to to have to name it first. Savage appears to have changed up in mid-stream.
Chickenfoot is pretty good though. Spam, Mike Anthony, Joe Satriani, and the drummer from ...uuuhhhh...... Red Hot Chili Peppers. Yeah that's it. Don't know his name though. Too lazy to look it up. ;-)
Playing with Teddy.
Savage show’s over, Beck and O’Reilly on now.
Damn! Tikilive back up to almost 1000 again, heading over to the safety waters of Blinko.
barney frank’s cabinet level position.. Ambassador to Homoslobia
He is the symbol for free speech. No need to engage in "fierce competition" against conservative competitors. He's the King of Free Speech.
(BTW, what competitors? Levin is the only one on in his live time slot.)
Hannity, Limbaugh, Beck, and friend of BOR Ingraham all put conservatism above Party.
I don't want distraction, I want someone who's going to fight the good fight to save our country, Savage has given up, I don't like people who give up, I still like him and hope he changes his mind and finds new purpose, but his show is not the same, lacks the passion and fire that I've come to tune in for, plus the 3rd hour of the show is a total turn-off that I just tune-out.
Hey, how be the wife and new one?
good
I’ll bet you are all tired!
reading the tea leaves, knows his ass is gone in 2010
I agree with all that you said but the question is, why?
Is health a factor? Is the pressure getting to him?
He's earned his place in history. He's a trailblazer that led conservative thinking away from the 20th century insipid posture of submission and showed that vigorous counterarguments work.
Being nice guys and apologetic when the left starts screaming Racist! Bigots! got us nowhere.
Spirit of 76 He said he would have a website for it pretty soon. I know Savage aint going to be around much longer, but Church and Wilkow seem to fit the bill pretty good. well worth the Siruis subscripts if only I could download recorded shows, they have a terrible timeslot.
Savage seems to feel as a country we're toast and I agree with him, but it's toast because we as individuals were toast first. Savage sounds disappointed in his audience, seems like he expected to do his show, gives us the info, then expected us to run with it. But very few of us did. We listened, we got mad, we got inspired, we voted, but that's as far as it went for most of Savage's tenure on radio.
Apparently like Rush, Savage is not an activist, they both seem to prefer to merely inform and entertain, unfortunately we're at a crisis point and time where activism is needed if there's to be any hope to save the country and it would be nice if we could've counted on those who have such large listenerships in the conservative media, unfortunately only Beck seems to have taken up the mantel on what needs to be done, but it's going to take more than just him.
Savage says he's done, he wouldn't even be on the air if not for the Britain squabble. He wants to retire and enjoy the fruits of his success, well he has that right, but imo, it's selling out the country he championed and us who helped Savage become a success.
I'm disappointed that Savage is not willing to fight and die for the freedom and principles he's espoused for the most part with fiery oratory for over 15 years but rather just watch from the sidelines as the Marxists and their allies destroy what's left of the country. Guess I should be more forgiving of Savage but the Bible teaches, to much is given, much is expected, but that may be also a reason for Savage's recent defeatist and pessimistic worldview, he dwells only in the Old Testament.
I can despair with the best of ‘em, sometimes.
Other times I am pretty sure that Spartacus is out there. Maybe Henry Bowman, too.
Still the same for the most part - very backwards-looking, clannish, and insular.
The problem is over the past 2-3 years, he spent more time bashing fellow conservatives, like Ann Coulter and Sarah Palin, etc. rather than pointing his guns squarely at liberals.
Another reason? Over taht same time period, he lost touch with whatever spark made him so good earlier on. My hubby said he's been "calling in" his own show with the tape recorded 3rd hour, ridiculous canned interviews, etc. Beck has passion, compassion (the right kind), and a fire in his belly. It might be due to the fact that Beck is younger than Savage, Rush or even Levin, but Beck doesn't "phone in" his radio show or his TV show.
For Rush, Levin, and Beck, it's obvious they would do this even if it paid nothing (after all, when they all started out, it probably did pay nothing). Savage has lost the spark. So sad, too.
