Some of the best science fiction/fantasy I've read in many moons. On what bizzaro world does this Mr. Obama live on that Mr. Shrum speaks of here?
To: 2ndDivisionVet
Obama understood that as economic recovery takes hold, bad assumption.

Republicans are now hoping against hope for a non-recovery, a slow recovery or a jobless recovery. No, we're OBSERVING a jobless discovery, dolt.
BTW, isn't Bob Shrum the guy who said to John F. Kerry (who served in Vietnam), "May I be the first to call you 'Mr. President?'"?
Yeah, he's got a great track record.
To: 2ndDivisionVet
the alternative was a descent into a Clintonesque, post-1994 presidency, in which defeat on health care led to shattered authority, a lost Congress, and major initiatives that were impossible, impassable or generated by political opponents.
Sounds like a plan to me.

Its the Democrats who called it a jobless recovery, saying its a good thing.
The CBO says 2.3M more jobs over the next year.
How is that recovery taking hold huh?

Bob Schrum is a Nowhere Man, typical of the Don't Get It group in both the major parties.
This is about slavery, not auto insurance. There's a guy who thinks he "gotcha" with the lame argument that "mandatory" auto insurance and health insurance are the same, insulting me and himself at the same time.
There is, of course, no such thing as mandatory auto insurance, since driving is still an option, as unthinkable as this may seem to many people. I don't have to drive, though it would put me in a very difficult position if I were no longer allowed to. In the end, it is not "mandatory."
if whatever plan the Mono-Party comes up with requires that I have health insurance, I will go to jail rather than comply.
I'm amazed how few believe I am serious about this, and heartened by how many "get it."
The only strategy left to us, for a time, may be passive resistance.

First off, for liberals their historical perspective begins with Bill Clinton.
They can not accept that this is not the 90s and this isn't Bill Clinton just a little tanner. They do not grasp that there is no dot com boom to save his bacon from the fire. They are just imbeciles, especially when it comes to anything related to economics. That is part of what makes them so downright dangerous.

Does he have a scenario where health care “reform” does pass, but the economy fails to recover? I’m sure every Senator and Rep. of whatever party affiliation does, which is why it won’t pass, and/or why Obama won’t “stay the course”.

the most prominent victims included the most self-consciously "moderate" Democrats who had conspicuously separated themselves from Clinton on health care. They were punished at the polls for his failure.BS. Even Bubba recognized that it was the NRA and gun-owners that cleared out a majority of the RATs in '94.

Heath care is dead. If Obama and his commie buddies put it on life support by trying to cram it down the American people's throats, Bob Shrum just killed it by supporting it. Shrum destroyed every Democrat he ever supported for President.
The Shrum Curse lives.

Oh I am sure the Shroom knows this economy is still falling apart, he just cannot admit it. That is the thing about the left, if they admit to the truth their ideas are worthless. Leftism is valueless when it comes into contact with real life.
Obama was quoted today saying that Americans had “selective amnesia” on the economy and don’t remember how bad it was 7 months ago. Which is amazing since it was so much better unemployment-wise 7 months ago.
I expect that quote, if it was accurate, will be erased by the MSM. They can’t print that. Not enough people are stupid enough to think that the economy was so much worse 7 months ago.
