Heck, I thought for Congress’ popularity to get any lower, they’d have to get out shovels and dig.
I guess they did.

I thought Congress had a 17% approval rating before the 08 elections. Yet the Democrats who were in control gained seats. It’s hard to understand.

Irrelevant. Congress ratings have been going down since 06’ yet a lot of idiots in this country still voted for the same garbage last year.

I shudder at the thought of what kind of person has a positive opinion of Congress at this point.

I recall some 23-27% ratings in 2007-08.

Okay so now tell me the truth!
I am sure the sampling was 80% dems and 15% independants and 5% conervatives
Seems it should be 5% at best

Meanwhile, unfortunately every poll except Rasmussen shows zer0 seems to be recovering a bit. Apparently the sheeple are drinking a new, more potent Kool-aid.

I thought Congress had a 17% approval rating before the 08 elections. Yet the Democrats who were in control gained seats. Its hard to understand. Because a large number of Americans thought the GOP was still in charge of Congress. Many others were disgusted with Congress for not being leftist enough.

“New poll shows Congress’ popularity dropping”
As a whole, yes, but as for voters’ own congresscritter, that’s a different story. It’s a tough job market now, and if they perceive their rep/senator to be successful in bringing projects and jobs to their area, they’re safe. Case in point = Murtha. He trailed badly in polls leading up to Election day, and many of us right here on FR were absolutely convinced he was out the door. And whaddayaknow, he wins by 18%.
