“We are more like Saddam and Gomorrah”

Sodom and Gomorrah.

Who knows — maybe she'd feel it was worth it.

Right. And Nichole Simpson maybe felt it was worth it for her to be murdered if it made OJ feel better.

If he wants to get inside Mary Jo’s head, let him first imagine what the last 15 or 20 minutes of her life were like, in total darkness, struggling to get a breath and find a way out of that car, struggling to not breath in the water...

"I'm not inclined to piss on anyone's grave"

Then you're a better man than I.
I'd piss on his grave proudly.

Her death kept him from becoming President.
So I’d say it was worth it.

Kennedy was also behind some of the most odious immigration legislation this nation has passed. He was behind the passage of the act in 1965 that forbade “racism” in immigration, meaning the USA couldn’t favor Europeans over non-whites; family relationship became a primary factor. Kennedy claimed it would only lead to a few thousand from other countries including the third world.

Ahem ... within 20 years it led to millions of third-worlders coming to America and staying. Those that were illegal, then Ted pushed and had passed the amnesty laws.

Don’t feel bad:

Well OJ will go onto bigger and better things. I’ve heard that certain local golf playin legistlators want him to run for local office on his way up. Forget “Yes we can”. The next motto is “ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE”. If Marion Barry can do it and a one term Saul Aulnsky senator accolyte can do it, then gosh darnnit OJ can do it. We’ll forget OJ’s legal difficulties, just like Marions. OJ will go far.

The “Swimmer” left Mary Jo to die. It may have taken her 1-3 hours to die. There was a small air pocket in the car.Mary Jo died a HORRIBLE death! The “Swimmer” should have been prosecuted for 2nd degree murder and should be inprisoned for several years. That would ruined his senate career.Teddy is an abysmal, loud mouth, obscenely obese, alcoholic DIRT BALL!

[Still, ignorance doesn’t preclude a right to wonder.]

True. But it should at least make one cautious before exercising the right to expose that ignorance with public statement.

Ignorance doesn't preclude an outrageously offensive editorial in the Huffington Post, either.

I sent an Email to Fox News when I heard that Kennedy was dead. I pointed out that I would not be watching much TV for a while because I knew that there would be nothing but stories about him. I was crude and insensitive enough to mention that I would not be mourning Kennedy.

I also closed by saying that he might finally have to answer for Mary Jo. O’Reilly and some of the other Fox talking heads have been condemning those of us who said unkind things about Kennedy.

I have always been disgusted by the tendency of people to immediately transform someone who dies into a fictitious character with positive attributes they never exhibited during their lives. I think Ted Kennedy was a leftist maggot. I spit on his memory and I don’t care who finds that insensitive.

Here is a portion of the BBC radio broadcast devoted to the life of former Senator Ted Kennedy. The speaker is author Ed Klein who as an insider has written a few books about the Kennedy family.
Here is the quote:
“He [Ted Kennedy] would be the last person...to want us...to be morose...He would probably have a joke to tell...I don’t know if you know this or not, but one of his favorite topics of humor was indeed Chappaquidick itself and he would ask people ‘Have you heard any new jokes about Chappaquidick?’”........Ed Klein

Go to minute 30.00. At 30.25 he says it. Author Ed Klein ( Ted Kennedy: The Dream That Never Died ) says that Senator Kennedy’s favorite joke subject was Mary Jo Kopechne and Chappaquiddick.

On the bottom of the Windows Media display, go to the progress bar and drag the blue ‘dot’ forwards in time( from left slide to the right ) to the 30 minute mark. The time display is below the bar, on your left. The statement is at 30 minutes, and about 20 or so seconds.

Mary Jo death and Chappaquiddick. Ted Kennedy’s favorite joke subject.

“I have always been disgusted by the tendency of people to immediately transform someone who dies into a fictitious character with positive attributes they never exhibited during their lives.”

A big Amen on that Skip. I am in the same boat, having been “shushed” here on FR for saying virtually the same things, and also from some of my Email Lib, and RINO friends. I have come to the conclusion that if they have a problem with what I say, then the problem is theirs, not mine.
