The “civilian defense force” was presented as a big-budget version of Americorps and other community-service groups - no quasi-military component.
The disturbing part of the introductory speech happened when the O ad-libbed a paragraph which wasn’t in the speech, likening its funding to the military. The “compulsory” part of the “voluntary” participation sounded too much like a military draft.
In full context, it sounds pretty innocent, just a continuation of the Leftist “do something for your community (while I don’t)” mantra, so long as you think about it in terms that supporters & advocates think in.
So, methinks most of the rabid opponents are misguided about this, imputing evils on the program that isn’t there. (DON’T BASH ME YET! Keep reading.)
The problem is that (A) it’s compulsory, violating “no slavery” principles, (B) it raises a population which accepts dominance of government over their lives, and (C) creates a pool of young, idealistic, submissive robots which can be exploited into quasi-military service.
I have his show taped and will be watching this weekend.

Beck addresses 0bama directly.
The WH contacted him and refuted ONE thing...
calling czars, czars.

Many feel it in their gut and soul.
If this story sounds far-fetched for some... All’s they have to do is see the town hall meetings and Obama demonizing good citizens. It is painstakingly obvious in 0bama’s attack of town hall folks, seniors,stay at home moms-NOT the PAID SEIU/ACORN operatives.

You got that right. And I wonder if FOX can re-run him at night. Where I live I get The Factor, Hannity and Greta repeating each other. I would say get Beck in there instead of two Greta's.
I’m hoping for Beck at 10 following Greta, instead of an O’Reilly repeat.
FOX surely can’t ignore the numbers he’s bringing in with an afternoon slot.
