I wasn't in their councils. Thompson's campaign was awful for a very long time. People that knew Thompson couldn't believe what he was doing. With the final comment on his web site everything that happened made sense, pick off enough of the base. I have become convinced that conservatives were used by the Pubbies. The reason nothing changes in DC is because the dominant thought is socialist, neo-communist, progressivism. We have had this domination for about 100 years but I believe most conservatives figured it was a party issue. In 2004 we found out it wasn't.

We may be better off having a stumbling Obama in the White House, then a sellout.”

Yup.
You know, the more I hear from McCain and his fat, ugly, stupid daughter, the happier I am that he lost.
It was never about voting for McCain at all. It was always about voting AGAINST 0bama, and FOR Sarah Palin.
The thing is, I can't even swear that the stupid McCain would not have passed another $787 Billion “stimulus” bill just like -14bama did, nor can I swear that McCain wouldn't have demanded yet another $700 bailout “bailout” like 0bama did.
The only difference is, it would have been the Republican Party that the public’s anger would be directed at right now, instead of the Democratic Party, if McCain had won.
McCain's loss could prove to be the best thing that could have happened to the Republican Party as far as the 2010 and 2012 elections are concerned.

Had McCain been elected, America would see all of his his goofy liberal ideas would be coming from a Republican, becoming part of how Republicans do things, and would be swinging the entire Republican ship hard to port.

Instead, they see them coming from Democrats, and they’re not liking them at all.

This just confirms my decision not to vote for McCain and reinforces my decision not to support any RINO in the future

Ya, I’m looking at you, Mitt Romney
