Truly open minded.
2 states without concealed carry. Illinois and Wisconsin. One state without any kind of legal carry for ordinary citizens - Illinois.
Looked like Colt 45s. Don’t know if single or double action. Sure looked real.
That’s also somewhat true of other jurisdictions. I had a friend who grew up in Manhattan and attended Bishop Dubois High School, where he was on the shooting club. They used to carry their rifles at sling arms on the subway while going up the Knightsbridge armory in the Bronx to shoot in the 1950’s. If you did that today, they’d close the subway and call out a SWAT team.
I used to fly down to Dallas about once a month. I remember the bar at the airport had a sign posted advising that firearms were not allowed at drinking establishments in Texas. (”Check your shooting irons at the door, gentlemen.”) My first thought was “good idea”, my second thought was “why do they have to say that?”
just another liberal, in favor of legislating away the constition. I’m glad these people are constantly telling us how smart they are, otherwise, I’d say they were pretty clueless.
wonder why he did not realize, that the locations where people have been free to arm themselves, have been the town hall meetings absent of violence? Its the “safe” locations he prefers, where the union goons are free to attack.
maybe they really are clueless morons after all, what a shocker.
Rick Steves is another one. He's becoming insufferable.
Just SHUT UP and talk about travel, Rick and Arthur!
Who the hell is this guy?
They still aren't allowed Except for those places that derive less than 50% of their revenue from alcohol sales.
The sign you saw was somewhat anomalous of course, since you can't carry in the secure area of an airport anyway, but the law is the law, and places that do make derive more than 50% of their income from booze sales, must post The "TABC" sign. There is another sign, which places that serve the stuff at all, must post, but it basically says that you can't carry there without a license. Of course even if they didn't serve alcoholic beverages, you couldn't carry there without a license, but I think it's an enhanced penalty if you do. But I don't care, I have a license. :)
This was about thirty years ago.
The comments are for the most part awesome!!
I helped him move a couple times.....
The last time I helped him move...I had been out practicing with my pistol the day before moving. The pistol was empty in a holster in the back of my "evil SUV"...
We were going to load something in the back...and I said, "Hey let me move my pistol" He about had a stroke..and acted like he'd seen a rattle snake!!
Crazy.......
Except for the Pink Pistols.
I think you overgeneralize.
Isn’t this the same nut who said he would not travel in Utah because Mormons supported Proposition 8 in California?
I missed that. Does he write a Utah guide as well?
BTW Mr. Frommer, carrying a gun isn’t a Political Statement, it is a Constitutional Right not enjoyed in most other Countries around the World.
Instead of boycotting Arizona, how about you get on your hands and knees and kiss the ground of the Country that allows you to be such an idiotic little Libtard.
Good...stay the hell out....who cares
This is whatcha might call a “twofer:”
personal freedom AND an absence of pompous assholes!
Oh, that would have been before CHL in Texas. I don't recall just when the airports "went Secure". DFW is a particularly bad design for that. Except for the newest terminals.
