The Fairness Doctrine is a double edged sword. I will demand time on NBC, CBS, CNN, and PBS to present the conservative viewpoint.
Absolutely. It’s not enough to control the Congress with filibuster-proof majorities, the WH, the MSM....
It’s already there under the covers of “diversity” and “localism.” That needs to do down in flames, too.
The First Amendment. Period.
please, they’re trying to get rid of conservative radio and TV! And we aren’t really doing anything to stop them.
But they don't need Congress to do those.
Then CONSERVATIVE media outlets must be SHUT DOWN so they can try government health care again. It is the speaking out to the ignorant and uninformed that is screwing up their Communist plans. So get rid of information.
One battle at a time. Time is on our side.
“The Fairness Doctrine is a double edged sword. I will demand time on NBC, CBS, CNN, and PBS to present the conservative viewpoint.”
I don’t want ANY curbing of free speech. NONE!
Part of the “Fariness Doctrine” they want to execute if that conservative talk radio shows like Rush, should SUBSIDIZE liberal ones and pay extra fees to be on. They are trying to shut them down.
THe alphabet networks will NOT give the other side. You should know better than that. Geesh! It won’t happen. Then any media outlet will be dominated by LIBERALS at the expense of conservatives.
Socialists will always look for a way to implement their socialist legislation. Those who support the Constitution need to understand the battle to stop socialism and revert back to the Constitution is a long term proposition. The current intensity must continue for the foreseeable future.
They should have gone after the First Amendment first. Then Obamacare, cap and trade, amnesty, et al would have been a breeze.
they would have tried that regardless of the outcome on Obamacare (although if they cram it thru with the current poll numbers, it will be like tossing the 5 gal. gas can on an already raging fire)
Yep. That’s the problem. Censorship in the form of the Fairness Doctrine or however else they want to pretty it up, has to be fought just as healthcare nationalization has been fought. I would say that, in the long run, censorship is a bigger and more dangerous problem.
The one thing that motivated me to start going to town hall meetings is the accusation that my independent thoughts were somehow orchestrated by some talking head blowhard.
If they close down talk radio, people will just strive to listen harder and seek the truth and “news” wherever they can find it. Picture the French underground listening to their homemade radios to see what was going on with allied invasion. People naturally quest for freedom. They’ll get a satellite radio subscription, word of mouth and internet (until that is curtailed). Hopefully, before all that, we’ll have some sanity back in D.C.
It will not be allowed to happen again.
