This was a planned out publicity stunt by Ernest Hancock, who is a Libertarian that runs the website www.freedomsphoenix.com and has his own radio show. Hancock and Chris, who carried the AR-15, are supporters of Ron Paul. Hancock planned this in advance to get publicity for himself and his website.
The MSM are such fools. They completely fell for this publicity stunt and were completely used.

If I may say so, it was a dumb publicity stunt, worthy of a Ron Paulite. If the purpose was to support the Second Amendment, then it was a really stupid thing to do.

Aren’t all protests a “publicity stunt.”

I totally agree. How to totally destroy the credibility of the Tea Party/Town Hall protests one Ron Paul nut at a time.

I wonder if Chris Matthews will do a week of shows explaining that his past week of hysterical, shrieking shows were based on a hoax?

Have a black guy do it puts an interesting twist on it though. Not sure how it will be perceived, good or bad.

Funny.
Still I am unable to post without my posts being reviewed. This board is very fluid in it's communication to other Freepers but my posts have taken as long as 20 minutes to even show up.
I have asked the Mods what is going on and heard zip, nada, nothing.
Have you seen the following on your posts?:

Ernest Hancock cleared the stunt with the Phoenix Police Department. I presume the Phoenix PD cleared it with the Secret Service.
Some people, who were part of this group, stated that they met up with a Phoenix police officer who then escorted them through the crowd.
The Phoenix Police were interviewed concerning this incident and said that they never viewed Chris as a threat.

Couple of things come to mind. One is your IP may be connected to someone who has previously been banned. Or you have made a statement somewhere that sent up a red flag.

I went through all my posts and cannot see what is offensive. I don’t use crude language toward anyone but the only person I had any disagreement with was Jean S..
That leads me to believe that Jean S. is a Mod and has some problem. Would be nice to know as one adult to another what the problem is but, Jean S. is starting to look rather suspicious to me.
IF IT IS NOT JEAN S. ADMN MODERATOR, YOU SHOULD BE UPFRONT WITH YOUR REASON.
IF IT IS JEAN S. WELL THEN WE KNOW WHAT YOU ARE, DON’T WE?
BTW, my IP has nothing to with how they flag posters and I have been mobile for a few days anyway. It was a good suggestion though.

I find it interesting that someone peacefully exercising their lawful Constitutionally-protected
right was orchestrated as a publicity stunt. I am also amazed at all the angst it has caused.
I would say that their plan was a success. They certainly got publicity.

I have NO problem with it. More people need to carry, any time, any place. And if libs wet themselves over it, so much the better. Your attitudes are more like those lily-livered cowards afraid to exercise a RIGHT because you might offend someone who hates you already...
