They’re not ‘selling’ anything - they’re announcing what they’re gonna do and there ain’t a darned thing we can do about it....
I have been to two town hall meetings recently, and the Republican meeting that I have attended allowed for a quick description of the congressman’s intentions and then lots of Q&A.
The Democrat meeting that I attended was a scheduled two hour meeting, it was over an hour and a half from the congresswoman telling us how we “need this from the government” and “dispelling the lies”!! The “Q” was about four questions and the “A” was mostly her lying about what was in the bill and what she would and would not vote for!
There is no debate going on here because the Dems and the left don’t want a debate! They want the conservatives to go away and sit down and shut up! So, I understand why there is yelling and screaming - they don’t listen when we talk, let me correct that - they don’t listen!!!
So, why not scream, at least they will “feel” the anger in our voices, since they refuse to “hear” the anger!
Remember, the Dems and left know what is best for us - just ask them!
I used "selling" sort of tongue in cheek. I ALSO said they are ramming this down our throats. As far as not being able to do anything.... NOT SO! You are seeing the outrage on FOXNEWS and on the internet and it will become even LOUDER as time goes on. You are seeing this "presidents" poll numbers in FREE FALL and I dare say come 2010, you will see this outrage expressed at the polls.

I know — I was ‘channeling’ the politicians...
We *are* doing something in spite of them and their media lickspittles — the poll numbers show that we’re winning.....
Does any of this seem reminiscent of the progression of events during the Reconstruction period after the American civl war? I’d put us at about, 1869-ish now? It is so similar that I think patriots need a refresher on what happened, and why, if history is indeed prologue.
