But B.C.'s Simon Fraser University is taking punishment to a whole new level, introducing a grade of FD -- meaning failure with dishonesty -- the worst possible grade a student can receive. Congress qualifies also.

well, that's what 40 years of ivory tower dictated education results in.
It's like an auger to hell...

I think Peppermint Patty (a "Peanuts" character) got an F- on a test once.
I should think the only grade worse than an F- would be an F+!

As an ex-canuck, 2 of my family members graduated from SFU. Simon Fraser is a big thing in Vancouver. Even has a bridge named after him and a river.
The irony is that he was killed by the Colonials in the American revolutionary war.

FD - not only a cheat, but stupid enough to get caught too.
That’ll really look good on a resume (especially if you want a job in the Obama administration).

Sounds like a resurrection of the old 'Broken Crane' watermark on work evaluations by the RRs during the late 19th and early 20th century.
Whoever gets the dreaded FD won't be accepted at any university or college with the exceptions of Harvard, Columbia, Occidental and the Patrice Lumumba U. in Moscow.

It is stupid to cheat using the internet. A google search can expose it quick. Plagiarism is an expelling offense in some Colleges.

If a certain Boston College were to enact this grading retroactively, Martin Luther King would lose his degree posthumously.
