President Obama’s health reform proposal is vastly popular among the people, representing the “collective will” of the American population.

Then, WHERE are the pro UHC rallies, hmm?

All I see is descent, and rightly so.

Where is the comment that no R votes are needed? There are enough dims in both houses of Congress to pass it without them.

I have been wondering why the public sector union thugs are involved in this. Their health care is better than what the public will receive if our new socialists get their way.

The union members receive their pay from our tax dollars. If they want to attend, fine. But to act as active bouncers and intimidators is improper.

Also, the congress had a chutzpah to exempt themselves and to continue enjoying superior care. It’s hard to find a better example of elitism and hypocrisy.

We will soon hear of the scores of folks who are making appointments to have a support health care visit with their congress person.

How about forming the Center for Legitimate Healthcare Fearmongering? All it takes is a fax machine, some cardboard, and some magic markers....and a few quotes from HB3200. The fear is in the clear reading of the facts.

LOL!!! Sorry, I did not read all of the ‘fine print’. To me, the fact that NO R votes are necessary needs to be loudly trumpeted.

3. Everybody in America hates their insurance provider, and has stories of themselves or someone they know being screwed over by an insurance company.

The problem with insurance companies are complicated, legalese filled contracts with enough vagueness where the insurance company can arbitrarily decide after treatment whether to cover something or not along with appeals processes weighted against the customer. Multiply those problems by a thousand and you start getting the idea of what Obamacare will be like.

The Democrats got what they wished for — total control of Washington, D.C. and of the lawmaking and enforcing branches of government. However, liberals traditionally specialize in owning intentions, not results or consequences, meaning many are having difficulty accepting responsibility for enacting those policies they so steadfastly claim to support.

Worth repeating, their MO is so about blaming Bush or the Republicans for everything, I wish the R's would say it over and over, "go ahead pass the freaking bill, what are you waiting for?"

One big myth that should be added to your list is the myth that ‘Democrats and all those pushing for extensive changes in the US health care system are just trying to help people get good health care’. This, to me is really the biggest myth.

For example, Soros and all the deep pocket supporters of socialized medicine could make a dramatic impact in medical care in the US by starting or contributing to private foundations that support provision of the best medical care for anyone who finds themselves in legitimate need. Or, they could fund advanced biomedical research for an orphan disease. There are tons of ways they could charitably help, and maybe some are and we just aren't fully aware. I hope that's the case.
