Just to increase everyone’s suspicion, I might point out that the administration is also prohibited by law from making a copy of firearms purchase databases. Anyone who thinks that they aren’t is a lot more trusting than I am. This behavior is completely consistent with past behavior, including the remarkable “bureaucratic SNAFU” that resulted in the FBI files residing in the White House. One needn’t speculate that these people are untrustworthy in this arena, they’ve already proven it.
