The 1994 GOP tide had some of its beginnings in Washington State. It was Tom Foley and his colleagues who sued their own constituents to overturn the term limit law enacted. It was this arrogance and disdain for the people that helped cost Foley his seat, along with a couple of others in WA and of course dozens of others throughout the country. Looks like they might be going down the same path this time.
Coward!
this clown is looking in the mirror
In Tampa the “townhall meeting” was by invitation only... Citizens who weren’t willing to kiss dem butt had to stay outside.
Code Pink knows better than to go up against a crowd of Americans with deep convictions.
In the Tampa thread that was pulled - someone put in information about this technique - and how it was used by Lenin in Russia - and why it worked. They accused people of what they were doing.
The other thing on the thread were replies about ads on Craig's list where ACORN was trying to hire people to come to these "protest" and what they were willing to pay them.
We now know what jobs the dems are making...
Yeah I remember those “Nazis” disrupting a meeting with Pelosi. Darn “Pink Shirts” oops I mean “Brown Shirts”

Classic National Socialism
The frenzy they are entering into is, in perspective, actually pretty weird. Nutjob Nancy is babbling on about astroturfers and how they are carrying swastikas at the Town Hall meetings. What half-sane elected official would get in front of film crews that are sticking a microphone in their face and start blabbing 100% lies regarding American Citizens?
No, really.
Would not an ordinary person on the street be hauled off to the rubber room hotel? Yet somehow a theoretically responsible, extremely high ranking public official can say such things that are blatant, provable lies and nothing is done, nothing is said, no one tries to stop them or even question it.
Doesnt anyone think that is just a bit to close to Twilightzone Time?
Uh, uh, uh, I think they are astorturf you be the judge. They are carrying swastikas and symbols like that to a town meeting on healthcare."
Ok, I will jump in the pool first. Nancy Pelosy, current speaker of the House of Representatives is as nuts as they come.
Insane, crazy, whacko, sociopathic, delusional NUTS.
She has lost touch with reality and should, for the safety of the public at large, be confined in a mental institution.
A really big mental institution.
There is NO WAY she should be anywhere near the Presidency.
But back to my point, no one seems to be noticing that more and more of the democrats or more accurately,. the communist agenda leftists, are just skipping merrily along with this. They seem to not have a clue that World WAR was fought over these exact issues. They seem to have lost touch with the fact that a huge majority of the voters today have or had direct parents that fought, suffered, sacrificed and even died in that war.
Yet some how they have all eased into the cant happen here mindset.
Oh.
Really?
We are seeing the first parts of a repeat performance of a MAJOR war unfolding right in front of our eyes.
I can't speak for everyone else but the documented insanity of the leftist communist agenda democrats echoing from the past is not so distant that it fails to scare the crap out of me...
.
They have gotten away will telling lies for so long.. they don’t know how to deal with the truth.. Some are demanding the truth.. and laugh at the lies.. It could indeed look like a mob to them.. Maybe an outright Marxist President has awakened some democrats up.. Anyway let’s hope..
“Someone needs to dress up in a chicken suit”
Better yet - send him and his ilk rubber chickens...
So let's send SanFranNan (and her cronies) a square foot of AstroTurf...
I wonder if you gould go to some supply store and get a small secion. You could cut it up to pieces that are oh, two inches by two inches, sutable for mailing...
One piece bigh enough for a dormat would yeald plenty to share with friends, for their mailing needs.

email I just sent. Not in his district, but I know of him:
Dear Congressman Baird -
I am not directly a constituent, but I am involved with one of the Army Reserve Units in your District. I have had a great deal of respect and admiration for your support of the military, but that has recently been quite shaken.
I recently read that you were quoted in the the August 6, 2009 edition of the Columbian (http://www.columbian.com/article/20090806/NEWS02/708069952) that you will be holding “telephone town halls” instead of in-person.
You were quoted as saying that you “were using the new system because (you) fear (your) political opponents may be planning “an ambush” to disrupt (your) meetings, using methods (you)compared to Nazism.”
Frankly, sir, I find it completely disgusting that you refuse to meet in person with those whom you claim to represent. You were courageous enough to make several trips to visit troops in Iraq (with real bullets flying), but can’t (or won’t) face mere words.
I also find it disgusting that you would compare patriotic American citizens, who care deeply about the effects of this ill-considered and misguided power grab (under the guise of health-care “reform”) on this country, to members of the arguably most reprehensible political movement in modern times, all for the fact that they would exercise their inalienable right to free speech as guaranteed by the First Amendment. Yet I find that you apparently made no similar reference to those of a Democrat Party bent when they would similarly disrupt Republican or conservative representatives or speakers, or even President Bush.
To make matters worse, the time and date of the phone conference IS BEING KEPT SECRET! Is that any way to encourage the people’s participation in our representative republic (not a ‘democracy’)? I submit to you, sir, that it is quite the opposite. You would apparently rather hear smooth words and gentle talk from sycophants rather than the justified honest opinions of a broad spectrum of those you claim to represent - and who also pay you salary and expenses. That is hardly the attitude expected from a Congressman. This only further exposes you as a puppet of special interests and party rather than a representative of your district.
I don’t see Congresswoman McMorris Rodgers pulling this kind of stunt. If you can’t or won’t face your constituents in person, sir, I would also submit that you should step down. If you can’t take the heat, it’s time to depart the kitchen.
I respectfully recommend that you face up to all your constituents, in person, and earn back the respect that your recent actions has tarnished.
that’s what I’m thinkin’...
At least for the astroturf.
Rubber chickens are much more expressive in an intact condition... ;)
Stalin, accuse your enemies of doing what you do.
I didn’t know Brooks Brothers even sold Brown Shirts.
However, you HAVE to know that your/our opinions don't count any more.
The communists are going to push and push till they either get what they want or we are in a full blown second civil war.
I pray we can make it to 2010 but I don't hold out much hope there either, what with groups like ACORN perpetrating voter fraud and not being challenged on it (at all).
It is time that we had some TRUE conservative leaders stand up and organize these disparate groups around this country that have had enough.
Any WV freepers like to pass that idea along?
Pelosi also was amazed with how well dressed these protestors are. I think we should start showing up in rags carrying signs asking if our dress is appropriate.
All politics are local. My firm belief is that most people are unaware of how their own representative might characterize them.
It is easy to say vote all incumbents out, but until a light bulb shines on the local level nothing will change.
