Of course he’s a fraud, this isn’t news. Hubbard did a stint in a Sanitarium and cobbled together much of his “philosophy” by culling from different texts in the library. The reason why its adherents are devoted, aside from the manipulation, is that some of the techniques are helpful on some level, for example, clearing out personal blocks etc... He ripped off the E-meter from a chiropractor who developed it. His cosmology is imagined from his poor skills as a sci-fi writer.
There are rumors going around that he was offed by some of his cohorts as he was going senile.
What is secret about L Ron Hubbard being a fake? Actually he was upfront about Scientology being fake wasn’t he? So L Ron Hubbard wasn’t a fake.
32 years ago my brother and sister were acquainted with a man who had been a close friend of Hubbard and helped formulate some of the Scientology teachings years earlier. He grew disillusioned and cut off contact. The most striking thing about this man and his wife that I remember was theirs was the most filthy house I had ever been in to this day. Cats, clutter and junk stacked 3’ high on every flat surface in the house, paths to walk from one room to another and the kitchen was beyond disgusting. There were dirty pots/pans stacked on the counters four and five deep and this was a large, old house with plenty of kitchen counters.
