A North Korean setup. Guess who's smiling?
They were stupid to go there like that in the first place. This isn’t some game or Hollywood movie.
The whole episode makes me gnash my teeth. The girls are Algore-brand fools, not journalists. Our government allowed these young women to manipulate our foreign policy relative to a loose cannon with nuclear weapons. We played right into the hands of the NoKos. Bill Clinton, of all people, is picked to rescue two young women. The NoKos get what they want, did you see the grinning photo of their Dear Leader, and the Obamoids look like idiots but theyre representing our country. The girls return to widespread media acclaim. There are banana republics that could have handled this better. I think I am going to be sick.
Not yet, but I think that it will eventually be forthcoming. Yesterday Laura's sister Lisa said that the women had done nothing wrong. When asked to expand on that statement she said that she would leave it to her sister to tell the full story.
Did you see footage of her reunion with her daughter? Little girl could have cared less. Like meeting a stranger.
What the hell were they doing? Just the two of them wandering around in the woods alone? No guides, no guards? In a foreign land running around like stray dogs? Sounds strange.
Maybe she would have been more excited if they had rescued her nanny

The sister of one of them is floating the story tonight that they crossed the line for about thirty seconds. That left me with a vision of a reporter ignoring warnings and stepping into the country long enough to do a stand-up, and the NK's not taking having their warnings ignored well. Sort of the old, "I'm standing on the soil of North Korea and..." GLOM!!!!
