From: http://www.therightsideoflife.com/?p=6908 Update: A commenter by the name of Holly at the CountryFirst forum made the following observations: ..... Important side note: the Certificate issue date of Feb 17, 1964, is JUST A FEW SHORT MONTHS AFTER KENYA BECAME INDEPENDENT on Dec. 12, 1963. TO THIS DATE, this may be the only certificate on Kenyan file today if British documents were sent to the UK for archiving leading up Kenya becoming an independent nation. If you note the date on the Certified Copy, it was created by the Registrar in Kenya on Feb. 17, 1964. The Kenyan Birth Certificate would have been issued in the midst of the divorce AFTER the divorce was filed by Ann in Hawaii on Jan. 20, but BEFORE the divorce was granted by Judge King on March 20. Furthermore, its quite plausible that once Ann actually had this Kenyan birth certificate in her hands, and the divorce was granted on March 20, her attorney, George Kerr, counseled her on Hawaiian birth certificate loopholes and told her how to file for a Hawaiian Certificate of Delayed Birth to get Welfare or OTHER support for young Obama as a child of a non-supporting foreign national. As Hawaiian law allows, that CODB could have been upgraded later to a Certificate of Live Birth in the 60s or 70s, which would then be a root document of the shorter Certification of Live Birth we see today presented as proof of birth from Barack Hussein Obama II.

I wouldnt put too much weight on Republic being pre-printed letterhead thingy ruining it. It was only months later that they did officially become the Republic, but Kenya was ballyhooing the upcoming Republic.
I was wondering the same thing. Would they have thrown out all of their old blank papers? Would they have recieved on time all of their new, reworded documents? I don't know, but I can concieve that the word went out to use up all of the old paper work in that year, and start the next year with new letter heads.

...wouldnt orly and wnd have already researched this? freepers were able to do this and if that Republic designation sinks this, orly is looking foolish. Both Orly and WND are to be admired more for their courage, enthusiasm and doggedness than for their unimpeachable credibility.

I think I saw someone complain that it tried to download an exploit into Adobe Reader. Certainly that's possible. I saw that comment, too. But, if your Adobe Reader isn't up to date, it's possible that you would get a message asking you to download the update if there was a pdf document at the site.

If the Kenya document is real, I would find it interesting that his birth was registered in Kenya ( Aug. 5, 1961 ) before it was registered in Hawaii ( Aug. 8, 1961 ). It would appear that Obama was born in Kenya and the family flew back to Hawaii a day or two after the birth to have him registered in Hawaii by the 8th. The newspaper announcements make sense with this scenario.
And, if it is real, it is likely that the document in the scan was transferred from the original British document before those British-Kenyan documents were moved to England. It's reasonable that they would do this for all Kenyan citizens around this time. Most Kenyan citizens born prior to 1963 probably have this same 1964 cross-over date on their Kenyan birth certificate, if this is the case.
There is also a possibility that the birth was called in to Kenya the day after. Even if that is the case, it would mean that the baby was registered Kenyan/British before he was registered a US citizen. It would be unreasonable to call him a Natural Born US Citizen if that is what happened.

Agree, but I’d hate for all that to go to waste.

The divorce documents numbered from one to twelve...theres your answer to why we only saw seven. The remaining five were ID documents and one was the BC for zero!

Here is the Constitution of Kenya as of 1963, before it was proclaimed a republic.
http://www.constitutionnet.org/files/KEL63-002.pdf
You’ll note that it refers to a Governor-General in Chapter III and refers to him as the as Her Majesty’s representative in Kenya.
Dominions have Governors-General and Queens. Republics have Presidents.

On February 17, 1964 the formal title of the country was the Dominion of Kenya. It became the Republic of Kenya on December 12, 1964, about 10 months later. This does not pass the smell test.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Do you have any proof of that? On the last thread there was a copy of the Constitution of the REPUBLIC of Kenya that was printed and ratified on December 12th 1963. Where is your information coming from?
To: mojitojoe
Ok, i’m confused. What does that mean?

I think if they committed fraud and installed a usurper in the WH, they should be the ones that are worried. Our military can take care of a few Chicago thugs should things get out of hand.

See Post 58 for a rebuttal to the idea that the Republic of Kenya came around in 1964, it was 1963.
To: Tawiskaro
The country changed its name from the Dominion of Kenya to the Republic of Kenya in 1964. Interesting. According to this
Kenya became independent on 12 December 1963, with Kenyatta as premier. Zanzibar had become independent two days earlier; but the coastal strip had been ceded by the sultan of Zanzibar to Kenya in October. The country voluntarily became a one-party state in November 1964, and in December 1964 became a republic within the Commonwealth, with Kenyatta as president.
-----
So if the coastal strip [Coastal Provence?] was given to Kenya in October and Kenya became independent in December 1963, could it have considered itself a Republic before the name was offically changed?
