Cantor totally busts Obama. Looking forward to those pictures of the meeting between Eric and Bibi.

Nice to see a politician take a stand like this.

"I'm a firm believer there is a big place for the American Jewish Community in the Republican Party,"Uh, well, yeah. Especially since the Democrats would dump Israel in a heartbeat.

Cantor is a practicing Jew who lives his religion in every phase of his life; he’s not a ‘secular Jew’ so his fit with the GOP is very good. As a new generation of Jews moves back to their religious roots (much like younger Christians), we can anticipate more Jews simultaneously moving to the GOP.

Do you see that a lot of young Christians are moving back to their religious roots?

Those are secular Jews. Calm down.

A lot of the American-Jewish groups has been taken over by the ACLU and they have done an excellent job at BSing the Jewish Population.

Could you give an example of ‘a lot of groups’? There are some extremely liberal nominally Jewish groups but I don’t think they are run by the ACLU and they certainly aren’t representing Judaism.

The Jewish vote never changes, 78% democrat is very normal. No republican has ever won the Jewish vote, ever, although in 1916 they did get 45% which was the historical high point.

Though American Jews make up around 2 percent of the population, they have always enjoyed ample representation in Congress, where they account for around 8 percent of legislators.

That there are so few Jewish Republicans in Congress has to do with voter prefference, sadly. In 2008, good conservative Jews ran in NY-1 and Maryland and both lost. Norm Coleman, though harldy a good conservative, was defeated.

yes, I do among my own kids and their friends ... of course, that’s anecdotal, but the youth groups at the churches seem to be growing .. and I’m referring to young adults, not ‘kids.’
