I’ll bet she never wears those silly (uncomfortable) shoes again.

This doesn't make any sense at all... if she was outside it would of been a public sidewalk maintained and lighted by the city. I don't see any way possible the bar is responsible.

She looks rather hefty to be wearing stiletto heels and when you add falling down drunk, it’s hard to see how it’s the pub’s fault...

I’m surprised she didn’t sue the shoe designer or manufacturer.

That’s usually just called a ‘rum and Coke’.

Britain is gone.
Maybe when the Muslims take over they will install Sharia law...it makes more sense than what they have.

“The hospital cleaner insists she was not drunk and blamed the fall on ‘very poor’ lighting in the smoking area.”
So in Britain, hospital ‘cleaners’ are expert accident reconstruction experts? And WTH is a cleaner?

I bet you are wrong. I never understand why women wear shoes that are clearly painful and hard to wear, but they still do. If she is 40 and going to the pub for drinks, my bet is she is single and will continue going to the pub in stilettos until she lands somebody — for a night or forever. Unfortunately I doubt she is smart enough to avoid doing it to herself again.

And why is that in England it takes 3 operations and 2 years to recover from a simple broken leg?
My nephew broke his leg. He had it set and was back on his feet in 6 months.
I’m sure it has nothing to do with healthcare.

” I don't see any way possible the bar is responsible.”
Does the bar allow smoking inside? Or do they force smokers to go stand outside on poorly lit cracked sidewalks?
Pay up anti-smoking Nazis!

Maybe the laws are different in the UK.
Also, six months seems like a long time to be off work for a broken leg unless she is a dancer or something. I was back in my office three days after surgery to plate & screw complete tib/fib fractures which were just short of being compound (sustained in a motorcycle racing accident).
PS - I did NOT sue the race track owner, the promoter OR the guy whose engine blew up and coated the track with oil — in fact I never even considered it. ;^)

Maybe the British newspapers have started getting corporate sponsors for the articles.
