Dan Rather is calling on President Obama to "make recommendations" for the media on how to survive the economic downturn. Well, that's it then. Hit the switches, shut down the presses, everybody out, go home. Last one out turn off the lights, we're finished.
I can just imagine how valuable obamanation's advise on matters economic will prove to be.

The way to a free and independent press is for the government to bail it out. That statement makes about as much sense as his statement that the facts were wrong, but the story was true.

The media has politicized itself. Anything or anyone that politicizes themselves especially towards the liberal spectrum tends to become stigmatized and they slowly whither away. They picked the wrong side of the fence to sit in. Their profits, ratings and their hand outstretched panhandler are what they have to show for it.

I think we DEFINITELY need more Separation of Press and State!
