Without dissent, the House declares President Obama a native of Hawaii.

Never a need to say thank you to me. Just my duty. However, we all need to say thanks to those serving and protecting our country. My favorite news items of the day:

http://earlcapps.blogspot.com/2009/07/pillows-for-patriots-worthwhile.html

Founded with the motto “They’ll sleep better so we’ll sleep better,” a nonprofit group formed by a pair of Beaufort military moms aims to help troops deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan get a better night’s rest.

Barbara Farrior was watching a segment on NBC’s “The Today Show” last week about a Midland Park, N.J., sewing school that had sent more than 1,000 pillows to troops overseas. With her own son set to deploy to Iraq in less than two months, Farrior decided to take action.

“I called up a friend and asked if she wanted to sew some pillows,” Farrior said. “I saw the pictures of those guys sleeping under Humvees and wherever they could and thought, ‘You think you’ve had a bad night’s sleep.’ “

If you want to help out, you can contact Barbara Farrior at 843-525-9262 or email her: bfarrior@charter.net.

“Without dissent, the House declares President Obama a native of Hawaii.”

If in fact this is a piece of legislation don’t we then have the right to demand evidence for them to prove it is factual?

I have always been treated ‘respectfully’ when I call my Rep’s office...I will see how I am treated tomorrow (and report back).

We are within our rights, lucky to call our Reps and voice OUR opinions. And it is outrageous and insulting that they would ‘talk down’ to a vet!!! Shame on them (and thanks to you and all Vets for your service!!!).

And for the record...Lou Dobbs was ‘on’ the BC again. On his radio show (which isn’t in my area...but I read about it here)...and on his show on CNN. He’s going after the Lefties trying to ‘silence’ him also. I get the impression, he is not listening to the management of CNN (Yess!!!) and that he is speaking his own mind (double yes!!!).
