It’s 113 in Phoenix and I’ve got a very pregnant feral cat that I’ve been feeding, camping out by my back door. She makes me sweat just to look at her. She won’t let me touch her, so I froze a plastic quart bottle of water and placed it next to her on the patio. She rolls around like a beached whale.
Gosh darn it, you got me beat. In Chandler it’s “only” 111, in the shade. I have been picking up and dropping off kids in a car without air. At least it’s wheels. :)
Poor kitty. She’s lucky that she has you. (I’m a dog and cat person. I have 4 cats and 2 dogs.)
Oh, you and my poor kitty. Freeze a bunch of water bottles and hang them on everyone's necks, LOL.
lol. My grandma came here when she was 4, before air conditioning. They were poor anyway so later they couldn’t afford it. They had a swamp cooler. I asked her what they did before air conditioning and she said that they hung wet sheets in the windows and they would swim in the canals.

I don’t mind telling them this, even though they are just teenagers. My own parents schooled me well on the perils of socialism, so now it’s time to “teach the children well”.
but the stock market is up. we are saved! praise the oba-messiah!
Truthfully, I have a bad feeling about the economy. Commercial real estate defaults and upcoming ARM resets are pretty scary.
