Do you know for a fact, that the The Honolulu Advertiser and the Star Bulletin worked the way you describe in 1961, or did you just make that up?

Since I’ve never worked for them, I’m not in a position to directly report how they did it. But they say the listings are from the reports of the Hawaii Dept. of Health Statistics. Not vanity listings. Not from anybody just phoning it in. But maybe they’re part of the Vast Conspiracy.
