Maybe they can get ACORN to sponsor it. They have plenty of government funds.

"From a perception standpoint, you can't lay off all those people and then sponsor a golf tournament."
Oh, but you can introduce your own line of cheesy perfume and keep your lobbyist spending at nearly 100 percent of prior rates.

In other words, “It is good for busines to advertise this way but Americans have become stupid emotional liberals and their first instinct is to not want us to sponsor this event.”

ACORN can team up with the Cash For Clunkers Program and supply all the golfers with the loaner vehicles.

sponsrships is a form of advertising and its not like they NEED to sell cars anymore if they keep getting government funds

I’m sure the tournament will find a vehicle sponsor. GM just continues to seal their own dismal fate.

The only people responsible for GM’s demise..........is GM.
General Motors had 30+ years to seriuosly change its operation, alter the way it dealt with the UAW, and invest more in the way it developed and built cars. It took the easiest route on all of those and now reaps the results.
Maybe some real car companies..........Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Hyundai....will come in and grab this mantle for the next half century or so.

GM should have taken a long hard strike back in 1980 or so. Their products were junk in those days, so they wouldn't have been missed from the marketplace. perhaps they could have avoided the hellhole they're in now by applying some pushback to the UAW.
GM's problems came as the result of GM's board. No discipline, no attitude of an owner, just roll over and take it with Ford and Chrysler because the contracts were the same. The executives got nice paychecks and bonuses for avoiding a strike. They should have been fired by the board.

Remember you own GM too as a tax payer. Why would you not want it to succeed and pay back the government and be a publically held company again. That is the plan you know. Pay BACK the governemtn and get them out of the way.

Simple, there is no way in hell do I support bailouts, and taken over of private companies, and mother government picking winners and loser. I will not never ever buy a GM product, and will ridicule any and everyone I can that drives one.
Buying their crap today is a direct support of this policy, and the stinking union employees.

Fine! But it is done and we could not stop it. They went bankrupt anyway. Buying GM is not supporting the Government. It is supporting GM who is trying to get OUT of their grasp. In the mean time that attitude will drive GM and all the workers into the ground. I live in Michigan. I do not want to see that. I want to see them prosperous again without government involvement. I have owned 5 Caveliers and they are a fine car. So spend you money on foreign stuff. That is really American.

BS, buying GM is supporting government Bailouts, and government regulated bankruptcies. It is against everything a conservative should stand for.

As a taxpayer, I own part of the local county jail but I don’t care to pay a sales call...
