...as I have said: Watch what he does, rather than believe what he says.......
He reminded me of a salesman trying to sell a product he didn’t particularly believe in, or even understand.

Perhaps he simply reminded you of exactly what he is?
“It has always puzzled me why he is lauded as such a great speaker. That is demonstrably not true to anyone who actually listens to him for content.”

He seems to have the same gift as Bill Clinton as far as the cult followers are concerned. I used to tell my wife Clinton could read the phone book and his followers would swear he made a great speech. During the Lewinsky fiasco I put myself through the torture of watching his state of the union. I mentioned to someone that I had seen it and got this glowing response, “Oh, yes, can you believe with all that pressure on him he could give such a great speech?” I was more restrained then so I didn’t reply but I thought to myself that the whole speech was nothing more than canned phrases that conveyed no meaning. It was like saying “America is a great country” over and over for three times as long as any sensible speaker would talk. He could have given the same exact speech once a month for a year and the dummies would still have sworn he was the greatest orator of all time.
Obama’s reputation for oratory is simply proof of how far we have fallen, he is anything BUT a great speaker. A hypnotist he may be but not a great speaker.
