Yes, it reads like an Atlantic Monthly article - if you recall that very liberal magazine. It's references in clude the predictable: Cass Sunstein, Barney Frank, Thomas Friedman, lots of New York Times articles. The real issue, she argues, is our intolerance of foreigners.
Looking through the footnotes there is one which cites two dozen attempt to get an amendment through congress: The idea of abolishing the natural born citizen requirement has died in Congress more than two dozen times since the 1870s. Kasindorf, supra NOTE 5 at 2A. on p 278.
But I have at least one more source. Of course, a search through the Congressional Record would also yield most of the attempts.
The author, Herlihy, is from a law firm associated with Obama. There is no question that Obama supporters are fully aware that he is not qualified, and apparently decided, perhaps because they virtually own the mainstream media, and using the uncertainty around Obama’s birth documents, that they could fend off eligiblity issues. They also had the cover of Soros fund recipient McCain, whose NBC status had always been in question. It is absurd to think that hundreds of lawyers in the legislature, and hundreds of lawyers in the military, and 9 supreme court justices do not understand the constitution. All Senators signed the Patrick Leahy Senate Res. 511, wherein Leahy repeats "two citizen parents" in 2008. Leahy's co-sponsors included Clinton, McGaskill, Obama, and several others.
If the truth of Obama's ineligibility is not addressed, our constitution is an historical artifact. People will cite it when it suits their needs. Millions of citizens have lost large parts of their savings and retirement because of the actions of a man not constitutionally the president, whose foreign father, and probably mother were Marxists, whose mother spent virturally her entire adult life living in and working for Muslim government. Article II natural born citizen is about alliegiance. It would have protected us from Obama, had it been observed by protectors of our constitution. Our financial system and largest coorperatons are being nationalized. Whether Soros, or the new left, doesn't matter now. Republicans in Congress knew and said nothing. I don't believe it is the will of the people, but perhaps I'm wrong? I do believe the fall has just begun, and we all but the political oligarchs will be sorry we let it happen.
I believe congressmen are immune, even as they ignore the constitution they swore to defend, from prosecution. Have them read Chicago Law and Obama friend, Herlihy arguing that it is a “stupid provision.” It is unfortunately our citizens who are, if not stupid, ignorant of the constitution, and are thus losing its protection at a frantic pace.

When I was in high school, we were still taught the Constitution. I'm not young, but I'm not that old either. I don't know what has happened to this country since then.
How could one describe to the average citizen what is happening?
"It's as if you're in your own house at night, safe and warm. But then someone tells you it's NOT FAIR for you to have a house, and be safe inside, and have enough to eat and drink, and be shielded from the weather and other bad things inside.
"No, you must open up all your windows, and unlock and open your doors, and let strangers have what they may, the fruit of your hard labor, and your own peace of mind.
"It's not fair for you to have privacy, and express what you want within those four walls, and read the things you want, and cultivate your own thoughts. Everyone else gets to know what you think. It's only fair."

The military created shock waves by revoking the deployment order without giving any reasons. Thereby it evaded a reply to Major Cook’s objection and implicitly acknowledged that it could offer no proof of President Obama’s birth in the USA. If the military cannot vouch for President Obama’s legitimacy the implications can be very far-reaching....
It is unlikely that the US mainstream media will highlight the event. But regardless of the judge’s verdict, will the issue die? If it snowballs into a crisis America could face a cruel choice. While it battles a severe economic meltdown it may have to either remove a most popular President or violate its Constitution.

Even Indian journalists know what a joke our media is. I still can't decide which is more of the threat to America: Obama, or the media propagandists. One is definitely propping up the other. Never have so many lied so much so that so few could have so much power. As far as I'm concerned, Obama, the Dems, the Rinos, and the "msm" are all working in unison with one another, and are all part of the same team trying to destroy this nation from within. They better be careful what they wish for.
