I think all Heck is going to break loose when the insurance companies get wind of this. They will be spending furiously on TV ads. Im popping corn. What I don't understand is why the insurance companies aren't doing this already in anticipation of ObamaCare, especially with the 'RAT majority...

The text of the bill had to come out first. You can’t attack a provision of a bill until it’s been published, because it can always be edited out before release of the text. That was only two days ago.

Are you shocked? We all knew this would happen. Question is..what can we do about it? We are witnessing the end our our republic..And we scoffed at the comparisons to the fall of Rome. They fought barbarians. We are disintegrating from within.

And large unionized corporations are among the ones pushing this as a way to share their costs out of the public trough. Additionally, now-socialist “foundation-rich” and inheritance-rich scions of wealth and privilege, such as the Kennedys, the Rockefellers, the Heinzs, etc. are fully behind this because it will entrench them as a rich upper class aristocracy, since advancement in socialist America will now be much harder to accomplish.

It turns out we were right: The provision would indeed outlaw individual private coverage. Under the Orwellian header of "Protecting The Choice To Keep Current Coverage," the "Limitation On New Enrollment" section of the bill clearly states:"Except as provided in this paragraph, the individual health insurance issuer offering such coverage does not enroll any individual in such coverage if the first effective date of coverage is on or after the first day" of the year the legislation becomes law.
So we can all keep our coverage, just as promised with, of course, exceptions: Those who currently have private individual coverage won't be able to change it. Nor will those who leave a company to work for themselves be free to buy individual plans from private carriers.

I am guessing that all of the military, especially the retired, were promised health care will have it handled by the new program. No one said HOW our retiree health plan had to be provided. My guess, then, is that Tri-Care will be replaced by Gov’t health care.
Anyone have anything authoritative on that?

I have been reading some local editorials implying that private care would be reduced to bankruptcy, but was hoping it was overdone.
Do you work in healthcare also?

Yes. It looks like that to me...that Obama has put the military retirees into the same lines and programs as everyone else. I’ll bet that the congress critter are exempt though....
