Water is a state and local responsibility. Even if it were federal, wasn't some the $700+ billion stimulus package supposed to be used for infrastructure? I didn't realize that only people earning more than $250K spend money on soap, toilet paper, and cooking oil.

Republicans don't do as well with female as male voters. Women do most of the grocery shopping, and I don't think it would poll well with them. Republicans should stop being "bipartisan" and blast it.

Opposition to a water tax could be one of many themes for the Tea Parties.
