A series, no doubt?

I mean, how could the cover it adequately in one issue?

Also claimed in this Japanese article that the Obama foreign policy seems to be (claimed) as one amounting to:

敵に優しく、見方に厳しい

"Soft with Enemies. Tough on Allies (Friends)."

I saw an article here a few months ago that said the French, especially their intelligence & security services, are laughing their heads off at Mr. Obama and his naivete, bumbling, gaffes, etc.. Does anyone know where I can find that again?

I would translate the headline in the far left column as

The World's Vanishing Superpower

Obama Throws Asia into Chaos

Is there a link to the full article? I can't seem to figure it out. I haven't lived in Japan in over seven years and am not familiar with Voice. Is it a new publication?

Yes, the other one which caught my eye--and may have caught yours, was "The Nationalization of GM and the Fall of the United States".

Nice little article there......

Arrogance, Lack of Experience and Incomplete Staff of Advisors

I know nothing of Japanese idiom, but are you sure that should not be "Arrogance, Lack of Experience and Incompetent Staff of Advisors" ??

      ;^)

Seriously, many thanks AIT for your info from a source other than the fawning maggots of the US MSM.

The first issue was November of 2002.

Here is this month's cover:

Hidaka-san might well have his 原稿 in English. If not, he should!

Of course they are INCOMPETENT 無能な , most correct there, brityank, but actually the Japanese article said "incomplete" as in, after six months on the job, he still does not have important people in place and on/in key positions--(relating probably to Asia more than likely).

Actually, and ironically, the more Obama appointments, the more inmates to run the asylum!

I left Japan in April 2002, so I guess that explains why I’ve never heard of Voice until now. It looks like a great magazine, just scanning the headlines.

This is pretty interesting. I am not familiar with “Voice” so I am not sure how influential it is, but it is definitely a different take from the lockstep rave reviews the media here has been dishing out.

It will be interesting to see how the other outlets react to it. I will be keeping an eye on Nikkei to see if this represents the start of a trend.

One thing I will bet on, is that if they ever get around to analyzing Nagatacho’s discomfort with Obama, they will find its roots in his bow to the Saudi Arabian king.

I don’t think a single American President has bowed to the Japanese Emperor. Nor has he ever been expected to. And you know how seriously they take bowing in this country.
