I have to say that I had been wondering, “What are the risk factors”, and your convenient link certainly addressed the question, so thanks.

Yes it is horrible. The rise in anal and oral cancer is largely linked to HPV and HIV. My sister died of oral cancer related to HPV.

A lot of things didn’t get covered because of MJ. I didn’t watch it. I tuned out. I never did much care for Michael Jackson after he started to get weird. I never had a negative thought about Farrah though. It is hard to dislike one of Charlie’s Angels.

The Liberal DeathCare will all but stop research and the government hacks will pick who they want to deny care to, e.g., Jews, Chrsitians, Pro-lifers, gun owners, veterans, whomever they deem to be extremists, anyone over say 40, anyone they choose except the Elitists in Congress. Count on it. DeathCare, same as Liberal camps for undesirables.

I think conservatives handle death or disability issues a lot more bravely and unselfishly than liberals do. Although there are exceptions such as Christopher Reeve and now Farrah Fawcett. But those are the exceptions rather than the rule. Look at how Ronald Reagan and Charlton Heston dealt with their Alzheimer’s and the support they each got from their families which is the most important thing.

I think her Cancer was genetic, her sister died from the same type of Cancer and her mother died of cancer..

Everyone has cancer cells and stress and a family history can activiaye them, especially if you have a weak immune system...

There are genetic predispositions and you are right everyone has mutant cells. However there are a lot of ways that people could be cautioned concerning the other causes which includes a number of things that make people uncomfortable.

Never will forget Steve Martins line about how many hours he spent, holding up Farrah’s poster with one hand ;-)

with Farrah and Michael Jackson dying on the same day -

One you "played" with when you were young and the other would have "played" YOU when you were young

As far as disease is concerned, I think if people know their family history or are aware of it, that could provide a huge understanding and awareness of what to expect. But also there are other factors that enter into the equation such as smoking, drinking, drugs (legal and illegal) and even ones own behavior plays a role such as diet, exercise, overall health and how risk taking ones job is etc. These are all things that must be considered.

Stress also plays a big role as well.

Please accept my condolences.

I get the feeling that many young women are talked into doing things they really do not want to do. When feminism said we were all the same, women ceased having the protection of modesty and restraint. It’s very sad.

Yes I think I agree with what you said about feminism.

Feminism almost from the outset took things too far.

IMO, feminism attempted to mold women into being and thinking all the same with no independent thought allowed. They all had to be the same, think the same, do the same. A kind of reverse STEPFORD WIFE, which was just as bad as BEING a STEPFORD WIFE only in an ultraliberal kind of way. As a male, I remember seeing the movie THE STEPFORD WIVES and I was horrified but I think many people were under the delusion these people were conservatives but I believe they weren’t conservatives at all even though they tried to paint them as such. Which was the big lie about conservatism and womanhood all along. Frankly, I think conservatives do not mind strong women who see themselves as equals in their relationships with men whereas I think many liberal men see that as kind of threatening to their manhood. At least that is how I see it anyway.

Smoking - smokers are significantly more likely to develop anal cancer compared to non-smokers. In fact, smoking raises the risk of developing several cancers.

And

Anal cancer is more common among women, men who receive anal intercourse, and people with weakened immune systems

"I think her Cancer was genetic, her sister died from the same type of Cancer and her mother died of cancer.."

I know that there is a predilection for certain cancers in some families, but Wikipedia says that Farrah's sister, Diane Fawcett Walls, died of lung cancer. It also mentions that her mother died in 2005, but doesn't give a cause. She did however make it to age 91. To say that cancer is terrible is truly an understatement and my heart and prayers go out to all who have been touched by it.
