Discussing the Senate exclusively, and it is discouraging. We don’t have the targets, the candidates, and the $$ we need to make inroads to eradicate the losses we’ve suffered since the ‘06 cycle. Even if we knock off a few of the weak-sister Dems (predicated upon their renomination, since stronger Dems could easily replace them), we’re defending seats we stand a good chance of losing. KY is one we have no business losing, but Bunning has become so senile and arrogant to his situation, unless we remove him, that seat goes to the rodents. He barely won in ‘04 after blowing a huge lead by his bizarre behavior back then (which seemed clearly to be senility - and he’s only a year younger than the demented Specter).

Forget the brick wall, something more effective than that is a 5-year prison sentence for employers of illegals... 5 years for EVERY illegal they employ. Our “illegals” problem would resolve itself overnight.

The bill should include a wall and tripling the fines for employers who hire illegal aliens. The money, from those fines, would be used to build the wall and hire border patrol agents.

I don't doubt what you say, maybe Christie won't have coattails, but I'd rather have him over Corzine.

Contract with America

Newt was brilliant with that. Like now, we were out of power and therefore didn't have a "leader" (Note to media, Republicans don't have a "leader" because we lost the last Presidential election and the Congress. Duh.). Newt figured out let the policies and ideas lead. The Messiah is giving us a cornucopia of alternative ideas to run on.

Fines are nothing until people start doing some hard time.

It's an uphill battle, because as much as the GOP sucked as a majority, they suck even more as an opposition party. A "lighter shade of Socialism" just doesn't resonate with the American people.

Because you were neither hot nor cold, we spewed you out of our mouths.

There’s too many inherent problems with the NJ GOP, its domination by the Country-Clubber liberal set, its exclusion of bonafide Conservatives and outsiders and reformers (look at their hysteria when Bret Schundler ran in ‘01 - Schundler should’ve been a superstar and potential future Presidential candidate after his tenure in turning Jersey City around after 8 decades of corrupt, uncontested one-party Dem control). Christie just looks to be another Whitman (or DiFrancesco). Even if he wins, it will still be business as usual (and with all RINO Governors, a rapidly shrinking GOP federal and legislative presence until there’s no viable opposition to the Dems, such as what has happened in MA and CT).

Disagree. By Nov 2010 the public will have had it with Obama, and he’ll drag-down those in his party.

Screw the parties. This is a legitimate, all-inclusive hit list. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THESE MONKEYS NEEDS TO BE THROWN OUT OF OFFICE!

The good thing is, if every one of them IS ousted, there will be no change in the so-called balance of power (18 of each party are up). Thus, you would not be “cutting off your nose to spite your face” if you voted some jerk like Arlen Specter out of office.

Can you imagine the hand-wringing and out-and-out panic that would seize the Senate if every one of the incumbents lost? Hoo, boy!

Four reasons: ACORN, The Commies and Socialists in “The Peoples Republic of Boulder”, La RAZA and all the illegals, “wetbacks” that voted!
