If George W. Bush had been so Spanish illiterate as to refer to "Cinco deCuatro" in front of the Mexican ambassador when it was the fourth of May (Cuatro de Mayo), and continued to flub it when he tried again, would you have winced in embarrassment?Actually it is Cinco de May (Fifth of May) so you might want to change that before passing it on.

“If George W. Bush had reduced your retirement plan’s holdings of GM stock by 90% and given the unions a majority stake in GM, would you have approved?”
Well, they probably WOULD HAVE approved that one.
To: TigersEye
Yeah, it was the day before Cinco de Mayo. He WAS trying to say Cuatro de Mayo. He said Cinco de Cuatro though.

No, re read it. 0bama said “Cinco de cuatro.” (fifth of four) The correction says “Cuatro de Mayo.” (Fourth of May) It is actually “Cinco de Mayo.” (Fifth of May) I am not wrong.

I’m going to go post this on DU. It will be a one-shot fire-and-forget ID, and it will be deleted immediately, but at least their commie moderator will have to read it first.

Yeah, but the correction is incorrect. The holiday is Cinco de Mayo, the fifth of May. 0bama said Cinco de Quatro, the fifth of four. In the correction, the author calls it the fourth of May, which is a day of no particular significance. Cinco de Mayo is the celebration of the victory of the Mexican army over the French at Puebla on May 5, 1862.

No, he/she is right. Read the article I posted. He was trying to be funny. He had them there for a Cinco de Mayo celebration on the 4th of May and he WAS trying to say Cuatro de Mayo.
