Thank you for letting me vent. I'm tired of hearing mean things about a wonderful leader.

You know what, I don’t hate SP.

She’s got a cornpone accent. Some of her mannerisms are cringe-inducing. She’s somewhat unsteady on her feet (rhetorically speaking). Her family does in some respects resemble something from a Tennessee Williams novel.

But she’s authentic. Most Americans have dysfunctional parts to their families, whether white, black, purple or other. She speaks like a person who’s held a real job, who has worried about paying the mortgage, who yearns for something better for her kids. And yes, when slandered, like most Americans (whatever their background), she fights back!

I don’t know if I agree with her resigning from her post. I hope she’s making the right decision. I’ll watch.

I just want to see her stick it to those self appointed elites who think (largely correctly) that they can call the tune while the rest of us dance.

I got on Twitter for the first time yesterday, just to check it out and did a search for “Palin” about the time of the announcement. I was fascinated to watch it for the next two hours and couldn't believe what I was seeing. Absolutely STUPID comments about how “bad” she is, etc. What is scary is that this medium seems to be used by a lot of young people ... most of the “critics” (according to the pic if you could believe the pic) were young black and white girls. It was amazing to watch ... gives you a front row seat of seeing the “enemy.” We need to get some FReepers over there making more noise than the people there. Looks to me like the libs sort of “own” the place right now. I put up a few comments but I was a minority of 1 in about 10,000. Frankly, I don't care to go back to Twitter ... glad I saw it, now I “understand” more than I did ... but that is a mess over there.

I think Democrats/liberals hate her because they don’t have anything like her in their own party. It’s called GMS—Green-eyed Monster Syndrome.
