OCTOBER 1, 1910 LA TIMES BUILDING DYNAMITED! 21 KILLED
The Los Angeles Times bombing was the purposeful dynamiting of the Los Angeles Times building in Los Angeles, California, on October 1, 1910 by a union member belonging to the International Association of Bridge and Structural Iron Workers. The explosion started a fire which killed 21 newspaper employees and injured 100 more. Termed the “crime of the century” by the Times, brothers John J. (”J.J.”) and James B. (”J.B.”) McNamara were arrested under suspicious circumstances in April 1911 for the crime. Their trial became a cause célèbre for the American labor movement. J.B. admitted to setting the explosive, was convicted, and sentenced to life in prison. J.J. was sentenced to 10 years in prison for bombing a local iron manufacturing plant, and returned to the Iron Workers union as an organizer.
Nazi Germany all over again.
Key selling point for the O- Administration's & Pelosi's WaPo pimps:
"Interact with key Obama Administration and Congressional leaders, advocay and business decision-makers - and the publisher, executive editor and health-care reporters of the Washington Post."
No way did a 'flier' get this far along in the graphic production chain, unless "key Obama administration and Congressional leaders" already sign off on putting 'access' to themselves up to the highest bidders.
Either my stylus or the touch screen doesn't seem to work very well in this heat, letters just aren't registering.
>> I somehow doubt that Rahm has Fox News on speed-dial.
What do you know? The story is finally up on foxnews.com. “Above the fold”, too!

Don't worry. That horse is already out of the barn.

I’ve been giving this some thought ...
I believe that government ethics rules require written disclosure when anyone in government meets with a lobbyist.
Also, Wa Po is hemmoraging cash - has posted losses for at least the last few quarters.
So, hows this ...
Kathryn Weymouth charges some of her guests (the lobbyists) a cover charge in order to get “invited” to the dinner ...
She also “invites” government officials ...
Since it is a private dinner, everything is off-the-record ...
Everybody gets what they want - lobbyists get access, government officials do not have to report the lobbyist contacts, and Kathryn Weymouth runs to the bank with the cash.
It's also nice to know the newsroom people showed major backbone... The world is getting stranger.
To me, the Wash/Po selling access sends an even louder message--------"Our man is in the WH. We can do anything we damn well please. We are protected."

White House denies involvement.......... Yeah, sure.......I believe that and I also believe in the tooth fairy (/snic).
This scam is more of the nefarious doings of Rahm "Uriah Heep" Emanuel. David Copperfield's ingratiating scoundrel fits Rahm to a tee. Uriah Heep was notorious for wielding undue influence, a manipulative bounder who was always planning and plotting, ingratiating himself into the confidence of others. Uriah Heep was obsequious, manipulative, and wormed his way into positions of influence. Uriah was a consummate con man, and not to be trusted.
Translated into the language of the popular culture, Uriah Heep Rahm, positions himself as amenable to American values but is insincere in these feelings; he uses important issues to advance his hidden agendas and political ambitions.
Like Uriah Heep, power-hungry Rahm feeds on others, and deploys self-serving strategies for his own self-absorbed purposes.
We conservatives are on to this, aware of Whom we serve and watch carefully to see if government promises made to them are empty.
We know this-----Rahm evinces an utter contempt for our culture and is obsessed with party politics. Watch him on TV---Rahm coyly speaks the language to appeal to American values, but he is not a true believer, he is a calculating conniver----a latter-day Uriah Heep.
Well done!
“For a man who is the leader of the free world, he certainly doesnt know much.”
He is a graduate of Chicago politics......all he needs to be a criminal.
