Of course it is the battery, as this has been the weak link in most mobile electronics, and along that line the cost of the battery in the manufacturing is high compared to the other components. This in turn has led to a lot of undersized battery problems (Heat Fire, ect) over the past few years. It also happened to the Macbooks which were using the same battery run as Sony a few years back.
I really just like torquing the little snobs that I call Applebores, they have no problem insinuating that I am a moron who knows nothing since I use a PC. But hit them in one of their tender little nerves and they post threads about trolls and how they are being picked on because they like Apple.
These people do not realize how much they get screwed over by Apple. If the problem with the iPhone turns out to be a bad battery run, then this will require a full recall of all the iphones, since to maximize profits the battery in the phone is not user replaceable. All other manufactures would be able to send you a replacement battery, but Apple wanted to make sure that they make money off of parts replacement labor. As such they will put out crap like do not operate the phone in direct sun or above 94 degrees F.

Actually, given the iphone’s form factor, I can understand the built in batt. Design. Have you seen the breakdown of the phone on cnet or gizmodo? Limiting seams keeps a lot of I’m wanted crap or of the electronics bay.

BTW: I’m posting this from my iPhone
